we have a spin on oil fliter adaptor, with an-10 lines routed to a dual oil fliter setup from Summit Racing into a RX7 FC oil cooler with a built-in thermostat.

Oil filters are standard sizes.

Werd, just giving you a hard time, since Nissan filters are cheaper, and cooler in baby blue!

Helps if the dealer has them in stock...... Not quite sure why Sharp Nissan wouldn't have oil filters.

Very Nice. Can't wait to see it in action.

I see you're using the KTS superdampers, is that right. Have you run them before? If so, what do you think about them? That's what I have for the Pikes Peak car and I don't know anyone that has any experience with them. Also, what made you decide on the gusset plates between the cage and the body?

Great Job so far!!

KTS coilovers are made in the same facility as most JDM coilovers, but sell for alot less. I run them on my street car (which I also track) with good result. One reason I got them was because SPL Parts is a sponsor and hooked us up with a good deal, and they come with the mate for Z32 aluminum uprights, vs the stock cast steel parts for the s13. we are probably going to run these for a year or two, but they will probably be well underdamped for VIR. We are planning on doing a few Northeast Hillclimbs and I think they will suit well for the uneven terrain that lies down those roads.

The gusset plates might not be nessicary but we cut the roof off and welded it back together to get the cage in, so we decided it was best if we support it in a few places, plus its that little bit of added rigidity between the chassis and the frame.

So after hunting down a bad fuel pump wire it's running great. Going to run it through the rpm range and break it in quick and then hopefully we should have it out on the road to start dialing in the a/f.

Brakes should be plumbed up and working tonight. Just an FYI for everyone, Skyline master cylinders are a pain to hook up.

Looking forward to getting your impressions of the KTS's on this car. How has SPL been to work with?

The gussets make sense to me. Are they 16 gauge?

Also, who's 03SVT is that in the background? I miss mine like crazy!!

Way to thread jack Kevin.

Car is alive and I took it for a spin around the block (most likely pissing off all the neighbors in the process). Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures this weekend but you'll all be in for a good suprise at the end of the week.

Time to get on to all of the little annoying details and hopefully we don't have to have someone working on it when it's on the trailer on the way down (as much fun as that would be)

The AEM ems is AWESOME though. I can't belive how easy it is to use. After plaing with a ton of the "BETTER" stuff in the honda world there is just no comparason to this.

Dude, if I could afford my race car and afford to buy your SVT, I'd be happier than a puppy with two peckers!

My bad on the thread jack. Sorry.

I'm assuming that is what happened. I showed up one day and it was like that. Maybe DJbutton will show up and let us know.

Don't get to used to it though, It's going to look quite a bit different on Friday

Yup, took all of 30 minutes and looked kinda cool, imo. The new color scheme is gonna be great though, stay tuned for this weekend, Mark's gonna apply some cool finishing touches I hear.
