Can I just drop those in? Do I need resisters, or polarity issues?
Since you are using those as parking lights, you will not need resistors. If you tried to use those as sidemarkers, you would need resistors because those are not CAN-BUS proof LEDs.

I am currently using the same ones for my doors (front). Nice and bright!

Whats up Nico... I am new to the Infiniti forum... I just got a 07 M35x

I see that in my highbeam I have a little lightbulb I assume it is kind of like a DRL. When the headlights are on it is a faint light inside that highbeam.
My question is.... what size bulb is that I checked the bulb FAQ and didnt see what size it is....and what should I change it out with... A LED?

thanks...

If your talking about the one i think you are, its at 194 bulb.

I just changed out mine with a 5k Vleds bulb.

I also get all my LED bulbs from Vled. Amazing quality and soooo much better and brighter than any other brand. That is not a DRL though - M's don't have DRLs. They light only when you activate the parking lamps or the headlamps. The bulb I used, also from Vled was this one:
http://www.vleds.com/shop-bulb-numbers/ ... 4-hpf.html
You can re-install the socket in a way that makes the 4 leds point inward so all you see from the front is the halo effect and you don't see the actual leds. Either one of these bulbs will look brilliant in that location.
The bulbs Calidoso used are in my trunk, courtesy lamps on the lower inside doors, and the foot wells. They are amazing bulbs!
If you want to have actual DRLs, I recommend Phillips daylight-8. Easy to install - check my pics to see them on my 07.

I currently have the 6k Vleds (194), but have found that Osram makes replacement bulbs... I just ordered a pair and will report back once I get them delivered and installed :dblthumb:

A friend of mine provided me with this youtube link which demonstrated the Osram wedge bulb....

Yes ! Please post an update so we can see how Osram ranks next to Vleds. I would never buy any LEDs from Ebay because they are mostly junk from China pretending to be a good brand bulb. I've been using Vled for a long time I'm curious to see how the Osrams work out.

will do!! I'm also needing to change out my fog lights (currently running Hoen bulbs) and have had them on for over 2 years... I'll check out the Osram's for fog lights (non-HID). Last but not least, I'll be ordering the Osram CBI's by the end of the week as well :dblthumb:

Good time to get the Osrams too. I ordered mine last Friday and they were delivered on Monday with just regular shipping!
Also, they have a slight discount now. I believe the code is 'tsbfblike' but they will tell you on the phone if you ask them. I paid $178 with shipping included and the reg price without shipping is $185.

Thanks for the info.... What is the site to get the Osram lights..... and for the little light in the highbeam it would be the W5W correct that would be the same or equivalent of the 194 bulbs?

Yes it's a 194 - same as those in the lower doors, trunk, and foot well.

The link to purchase the Osrams:
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/compon ... mp_size=11

It's best to phone them first - they will verify it is in stock and they will provide you with the latest coupon code too.

The link for 1934 bulbs is in Calidoso's post from Vled is just up there a little ^^^^^^

I don't know, I have the osrams sitting in a box because they don't seem as white as my stocks and the light output of my stocks "seem" as good as the pics here. When I'm on a road with no lights what I see from my car seems to be the same as the image presented above. And like I said in a previous thread, my stocks are a closer match to my morimitos 5k hid fogs than these. Maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me and I'll put these back in come spring and give it another try. Glad you guys love them though.

I had my Osram CBIs installed yesterday ... YEE haw ! The same bulbs I had on my 07 before the wreck. The difference is truly amazing! They put the Phillips Ultinon's in 2nd or 3rd place and they are very close in price. I'm not sure if the D2S will fit your new M56, but they also come in D3S and D4s. Also, if you call them, they can verify "in stock" and tell you if there is a coupon code to enter at purchase to save you a little money. Shipping is fast and since you have a lift, it's easy peasy for you to install yourself. I'm not yet healed enough to put my car on stands and remove wheels, etc so I had the dealer install them. They charged me for a full hour of labour ($149), but I really had no choice.

Looking for some help with hids for my 06 m35x. My ballast on both sides are burnt out and I bought two hid kits 1 for the fogs and 1 for low beams. The fogs were an easy install but could not get the low beams installed, I was told because my car already had hids and it has an (afs) system. Does anyone know if there is a special kit or aftermarket set up that will work with the (afs) system

Hello NICO members, I'm new to this forum, but have read a lot of posts on here to get very good infomation, I have a 06 M35x with OEM HID's, I'm looking to upgrade the bulbs from 4300K to 6000K, My question is what product should I go with, I'm on TRS website and I see all types of bulbs and have read from this forum that Phillips 85122, Osram, D2S ..ect are good bulbs, but just don't know which way to go still. Thanks in advance for all important info.

D2S is the bulb size. Osram, Phillips, Morimoto, etc. are the brands of bulbs. So, you can go with any bulb, as long as it's D2S.

I used a Vled "flank" style bulb. It is flat, and has LEDs on the side instead of a 360 degree design. That way, the LEDs are not shining outward towards the front of the car and make a nice halo effect. The link is below. When you install it, you need to watch through the outside of the headlamp glass to see what position the LEDs face after it clicks in. Turning the base into the socket from different start points will leave the LEDs facing towards the high beam bulb, or towards the reflector.

I just ordered them and found a discount code online (8thGen10) and saved a few bucks (10%). Got the lights for $169 after shipping. They are $185 before shipping.

Finally installed my bulbs. Here's some comparisons. Definitely brighter/more even spread light with the added benefit of being slightly more blue which I like.

EDIT: Bulbs are called OSRAM Xenarc 66240 CBI not CB1.

Mine 'seemed' to get even brighter on my 07 and my 09 after using them for a period of time. They seem to imitate mid-day sunlight now. Let us know if you experience that, or if it was my imagination, LOL. Also, can you tell me which bulbs you use for for the high beams? I tried the Osram Nighbreakers (HB3) and was not impressed.
