I am excited! Picked up some 350Z 17" wheels/tires today off Craigslist. Whole set for $363! Gotta get them things installed tomorrow. I'll post when I'm done. Want to clean up the calipers and paint them while I'm at it because now they will be visible.

Bye, bye pie pans!

It finally happened! Been wanting to change the wheels since I bought my Q four years ago and it's done. Found some 17" 350Z wheels on Craigs list locally and snagged them for a great deal. Here they are on my Q. Wow what a difference. I love it, love the offset, look, everything. Now...just need to get some of those Cali Customs springs and get this thing dropped a few inches.

No real mods so far. Mostly just fixing all the little things. Glove box, ashtray, staop lamp, brake pads worn warnings. Nice car, makes my cougar feel like crap riding in it.

Hello,

Just got a 94Q this Saturday.123K miles with rebuilt transmission. Repair history from last 10 year. (same owner) Couple of problems, but overall super car.I paid $3000.Maybe I can start off with few question.

1) AC does not blow cold air. What will be the likley failure? I was told that AC wasn't blowing cold in last 2 years. What will be the ball park number for the repairs?

Also Fan speed is either off or full, I will replace the Fan Control Amplifer when I get a chance.

2) Wheels. What OEM wheels will fit this Q without much modification?I seen few ownwers with 350Z, G35 wheel, are these bolt on?

Much thanks in advance. I can not start work on improving this wonderful car with lots of TLC.

ThanksJonathan

Welcome to NICO and very nice Q indeed. Yes, the 350Z, G35, Maxima, etc, etc. wheels are direct bolt on. Need to watch the offsets I think on some of them tho. Others can give more detail. My 350Z wheels are direct bolt on with no spacers. Use the search button and much information will be revealed!

It's a sleeper... 94K miles excellent condition. Everything is stock. Things to do: See if guides have been done (if not trip to T3 with $1100), A/C compressor replacement, complete A/C vacuum/recharge, replace cd changer (I need a SONY CDX-A15 10 disk changer), fix the one small ding in the door, replace BOSE amps in front, and maybe paint the bottom tan/pearl trim black. (underneath the front & rear bumpers).

Yep guides should be your first order of business, too many (1's too many, BTW) motors have been completely lost to this .

I may have that exact changer, need to find the part number/manual. I bought one thinking I could use it in my 94, but decided not to even try.

Evan (gniknave) painted the lower section of his, I think he even made a thread about the process with pics.

Weclome to NICO

Rex,

Let me know if you have one that is compatible with this. Hopefully it is like a plug & play situation that will work with the existing head unit. Also, does your changer have a wired remote like mine does? What conditionis it in?

Thanks,

The part number for the one I have according to the (unopened) owners manual is CDX-5N61W. It came out of a 91 or 92, just not sure.

I'm new here - just got a 1995 Q45t on Thursday. Its waiting for me to pick up at my mom's in San Diego on the 7th. Did lots of research and stuff on Q45.org and these forums before I went ahead and made the purchase.

I got a silver '95 with black leather and 93,000mi.

I haven't even seen it in person yet, and I'm more excited about it than I can recall being about anything before. Its quite the upgrade from my beater 86 Civic hatchback.

Hello all. I'm the new owner of a 1994 Q45. Bone stock thus far, I hope to turn it into a sleeper. I was quite suprised to see all of the tuning options availible to me. Here I was thinking I had bought just another boring sedan.

*EDIT* Uploaded some pics.
