Shane, thats nice but i like the gold BBS rims much better. Can anyone help me get me Q lowered? I cant find springs for it anywhere, it looks great except that it sits way too high especially with the tokico rear struts i have installed.(front still has stock struts)

Looks great and very clean! Nice choice of wheels. The only I don't like is the pinstripe, but that's me. What size tires are you running?

I've heard nothing but good things about the 245/45 size. I wanted to go to that size, but until I get my suspension 100%, I'm sticking with 15s.

Here's my beast. I am planning to swap the awesome hydraulic suspension for the even awesomer Z32 suspension :gapteeth:
Im somewhat of a lurker around here and have been for a while. This car has 190K on it and runs pretty decent. I am looking forward to the transmission choking so I can use this Mazwork adapter I have sitting around.

Those wheels look like the factory 15" BBS wheels without the center caps on.

I dont think you would want 4.08 gears IMO. The 3.54 is pretty good especially if you start adding more power... Looks like a nice setup, I like the blow-through MAF too.. Very clean setup, what are you doing for engine management?

Maybe your right about the gears, I do like the top end performance. Last week I took out a late model MB AMG S55, pretty even off the line, but got him by 1.5-2 car lenghts w/in 1/8th mile. He was so pissed at the next light, side by side, he wouldn't even look over! The tune Shane did for me is all I have for management... I love the tune, big difference between the two tunes.

I just wanted faster gears, because it's annoying to let Vettes get the jump on me, then I have to wait for the windup. I haven't had the chance to race a ZO6 or ZR1, "normal" Vettes do get shocked though when I scream by. The car is a beast. I fell in love with it in 95, Infiniti gave me one to test-drive for the weekend, but 55k back then... I got this one from a client in 99 for 7k with 58k miles on it.

I like the 5 speed you put in... I'm a little green, but I still have a lot of other things to do to "finish" this project. My wife doesn't think it'll ever be done. That's okay... After 2006 or so, she had the car while I was on a contract job, she hasn't been allowed to drive it since. Between her and the kids, they helped out the interior problems. I'm waiting for a quote on interior now.

FYI, I didn't and don't have the expertise or tools to do this install, I helped, but my ex-friend mechanic did the install. This install was massively inspired by Shane's install. I sat on the parts too long and Shane beat me to the finish, but I think it helped us to tweak what we wanted different from his. I now do all maintenance and upgrades to my Baby... Mechanic douchbags!

Hey ya'll,

I bought a Q45 a couple of weeks ago. I have changed the earl, flushed the tranny fluid, fixed the drivers window regulator, added Powerslot, cryo-treated rotors with Akebono Ceramic pads on the front, and added 5000k Hi/Lo HIDs. My tranny cooler and Nico ECU should be here sometime today!! Just ordered a fuel pump from IOS.

Tint and new windshield is in the near future.

Here is a pic of her. She aint pefect, but for 172k and 15years, I kinda like her. :dblthumb:

Good deal! I think I saw that Q for sale somewhere not long ago. What a sweetie you have there.

I would be interested to see some pictures of your ATF cooler install as I am about to start that operation with mine and I need some ideas.

I got it off of Atlanta's craigslist. Contacted the lady on Saturday night, bought it on Sunday afternoon. She wanted $2400, I got it for $1380.
