Not gonna buy my injectors from some random dude, nor spend double from scottsdale for almost double the price per injector, and since the ones in there already failed i wanted to try something new. Got a learning experience out of it as well. They were basically guaranteed through deatsch and i figured it wasn't much more for the adaptor kit. Mass 10% Ethanol is killing my injectors. I don't think there is much difference but since atleast 3 of mine have failed before the current 136,*** miles that the engine has seen. Why are u bickering about bullsh!t on online forums?

No, you posted pics of a ragged-out Q45 with some stick-on fake emblems, gay 1980's wheels, and poor spelling.

You fail at damn near everything.

Some guy from HI showed a pic of a beautiful car he no longer owns and it made me eat hater tots, drink hater aid and call him out on it. As far as a translation goes, I do not think it is needed. Where are some more pics at?

Your boy started it all, showing a pic of a show car he imported/exported a long time ago. Once again, I wanna see a pic of him fading out like snoop dog in the back seat or I am convinced that pic, the only pic he has of that car, is just a faded memory. Hey faker from HI, thanks for turning this thread into dreamland!!

Just got this 1992 active Q for $1,000. Minor problems, nothing that isn't worth fixing. My mechanic hasn't checked the timing guide issues, but that is the next thing on the list after reading about it. Right now we are just trying to find a power steering pump for under $300 that will actually fit on the car. A previous owner has deleted the active suspension, so that'll be fun to rebuild. All in all, my wife and I are excited to make this a great car regardless of the cost. If spending $10,000 + on this will get us a car that sold for $42,000, well then lets do it. I mean my wife and I are both considering getting second jobs and another car just to dump more money into this thing.I am happy I found this site and glad to be apart of this group even if I don't know jack yet. These cars should come with a warning: may cause obsession and debt. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]

Hey guys thought it was about time I checked in with you lot.

Got my self a Australian delivered 93 model Q45 it is equivalent to your base model ie no rear sway bar and standard suspension.

Picked it up for $1100 a year ago with 320 000kms on the clock.

I put an alarm system in it and fixed a the rocker cover gaskets and gave it a good service and she is still running great 15000kms later. The car has a few nicks here and there on the paint work and the interior as a few rips in the leather seats in the front row.

Since owning it I have done the following mods and accesories -

Alarm systemWhite LED interior lights (dome light foot wells and doors and boot)Pioneer DVD player (AVHP4050DVD)Rays 18" wheelsNarva Blue power H4 H3 and park light globes (4300K from memory)

The last pic is nothing special but you can see the difference between the standard light and the LED one. Cant really notice the dvd player:P

Thats me done guys.

Does your hood not latch sometimes too? Messing around with thing is what led to my hood getting bent.

Quarterly{or monthly in salt/snow/winter mess} application of light lubricant/water displacer on all pivot points, latches, and moving parts of hood & doors keeps things moving as designed and prevents binding which leads to problems.....almost every Q with a bent hood could have been prevented with a 30 second application of lube!!!!

I would have thought so. The weird thing is, on the back of the packaging of my new hood struts, they said to keep grease, oil, & other lubricants away from the strut.

OMFG! Bro. That is pretty sweet! Great deal man. What's the deal with your chain guides? If they haven't been done yet, you should look into it.

Good luck with your car bro!

Welcome to NICO!

Looks great, Justin. BTW, your sig is a little too big. I re-sized it and you're more than welcome to use it from my host, or save it and host it yourself.

Picked up my 1996 G50 on Friday for $1000. The power steering doesn't work, the ABS light is on, ebrake light is on, and the "Battery needs Charges" but it starts and drives fine. 167,000 miles and everything works. So far it feels like it has more power than my Y33 did. Love the Q's Bargain price. Only $50 a month for insurance!

My 1997 Y33... I miss this car.

not sure what happened to the front bumper. The passenger fog light has a "Fish Tank" in it I think but it works the drivers side fog light doesn't.

-- Hi, I'm new to this section of Nico, long time J30 owner, bought the 90 Q in early Oct for $200. Replaced all 8 injectors, the under plenum hoses, & upgraded the chain guides... or what was left of them. Also got the ECU/TCU combo from Wes, thx! The wheels are M35x18x8s I found right here on Nico, along with a bunch of helpful info. Thx for looking Nico is Nice.

Here's a pic of the 1990 Q I purchased for $800.00 a few months ago. When I got the car, it was already wrecked on the back left door, and it had ugly gray interior. the paints clear coat was also pealing. So I purchased a 91 Q for $300.00 and completely stripped the interior(minus some misc..parts), and replaced the wrecked door(notice the color. Now it has burgundy and black leather interior with burgundy accents. I also purchased a cable so the factory cd changer works with my dvd radio. Plz let me know what you think...

1. Wrong forum

2. You can't do much to a 1996 Q45.
