Does only the CONE Air filter do more harm than good? I bought the K&N airbox....is that alright?

NO!!! The oil in that filter could mess with your MAF sensor and/or performance, or so they say. I don't question these guys anymore, I just do it. On the other hand, you could try and cheap out and end up buying what they tell ya anyway. Trust me, done that too many times. Just call IOS and order the oem and have it delivered. Its cheaper than the stealership out here "Plaza freakin Motors." Including the shipping!!!!

Take it back asap, they will give ya a couple of weeks. Another thing, if you ever take the plenum off, REPLACE ALL THOSE PLENUM RUNNER GASKETS, no matter how soon it was before you replaced them last. They are 5 bucks a piece, since you will NEVER find the smell/vacuum leak at WOT w/o this advice....

Wow, O.k. I trust you guys....don't want to do any harm to my engine...I'll return it ASAP (even though I threw out the box )

Now what are these plenum runner gaskets and is it very hard to reach them? I'd like to replace those ASAP as well. I really appreciate all your help guys....this is my first car and I'm basically a car newb so you guys are a wealth of information.

Do a search bro, dont worry about those until you remove the plenum, I have been a member for about three years and have not even made 300 posts. I read a ton of posts and I suggest you do the same. just put your question in the "search" of this site, it is all knowing.

Please leave this thread for showoffs, like Niqole, who likes em young apparently!!!

Ok, here are some more "lady like" pics of Niqole I took today, she is such a bad bad girl, she cost me over 800$ in tickets in the last two months, but I still got her some flowers!!! Notice my passenger seat rig job, I used the leather from the old driver's seat, an Elwesso trick, worked good, but still looking to replace it...

Yeah, wheels with fake rivets/bolts are right up there with spinners.

Nice car otherwise.

Not sure if this will work but here is a shot at sending some pics of my 95Q45a. It's 100% stock. Got it from CA and had it shipped. Still has the CAplates but I plan to get it registered this week (in MA).

Engine bay shot is a bit blurred.

Car is 100% stock and everything works now that the active suspensionis fixed. Put in 9 accumulators from texasoil and replaced the controller.

Hey man! Great looking car, you have the same exterior color as me! Good luck with it.

By the way, what is that antenna on the rear windshield for?

The original owner had a phone installed. From the look of the phone,it was probably done when the car was new. He had a hands-freesytem put in also. I checked out your photos also - very nice!

My interior is in great shape right now. No cuts or heat damage and hardlyany sign of wear. I've have four cars with leather interiors and I've beenusing some stuff from "leatherique" that does a nice job ofcleaning/conditioning/preserving. It's especially good if the leather is getting dried out. You can find them online.

silkysmoothyjud wrote:I checked out your ride as well, love that VIP stuff!! How low is yours? Mine came lowered like that. I saw a faded "eichb" on one of the rear springs, but the shocks look stock. The drop must be professionally done, as I bottom out all the time, but my oil pan is still there.
Stock, when I first got the Q

Tokico + Eibach (Eibachs in rear only)

Eibach all around, one coil cut from rear

AIR

And now, JIC Magic

Nice ride .....how did you get the chrome around your windows so shiny? I used Nevr Dull all oveer mine, but they're still dull with white water spots all over them? I read in a post that white vinegar does the trick.... Is that what you used?

If the water spots will not come off, they were more than likely caused from acid rain. I have not used anything specific other than just cleaning as normal. They are not perfect by any means, just look good in the pics.

It's just about to turn 115,000. The photo quality at photobucket doesn'tseem too great so I may take a couple more and see if I can get helpmaking them show in the posts rather than using the link.

This was a one-owner car I got from CA through ebay. Seems to havebeen well cared for and kept in a garage as there are no signs of havingspent many hours in the sun.

Just got it registered today so now I can drive it legally! Need to talk toPaulWall and see if he'd like to meet somewhere in the near future. I'dlike to see some of the other members cars in real life and maybe havesomeone with more experience with an "A" check out how mineruns/drives and let me know if it all seems right.

I really like the color scheme of your Q. The silver looks great, and the black interior makes it look even better. Gold emblems are a plus, too.

That's funny because I spent 3 hours at the DMV today getting my car registered too.

Maybe we can have a New England meet with Paul, you, me and anyone else that lives around here sometime?

Thanks man, I've cleaned it up even more since then, so I'll have to post some new pics soon with my "I N F I N I T I" windshield banner that I'm putting on tomorrow.

Dude, please do not do a windshield banner on that classy car. NO VINYL ALLOWED!! I can't even do chrome on my wheels w/o getting hosed, perhaps my critics will like my ricer winter wheels better. By the way, The rivets in my wheels are as real as the gold toofuses in the ghetto thug that sold them to me for 200 bucks!

Air? Air!!! no kidding, your Q looks bad axx slammed like that. I assume you could raise it at will. It would be toast riding that low out here. I am starting to think I am at a two inch drop all the way around after looking at your pics. I am just going by what the previous owner told me.

Wes should of made a rule, "one may not side bust on anyone's stuff without posting a pic of their ride!!!"

New Haven is a long way from Pepperell! Maybe there's an event somewhere between us that would work. I go to car shows in Sturbridge,MA once in a while. They had a great Jag show on 8/15 and I think theyhave more coming up. How far would that be for you?

Too late...already put it on lol. I didn't get it flashy or anything though, in fact it really compliments the classy look of the Q front end.

Maybe wait until you learn how? Pictures will tell all, which is what this thread is for, not just posting contemplated projects.

How can I learn how without trying?
