Odometer question?

Alright the odometer was dead on my old gauge cluster (speedo still works though) on my 95 200sx se-r so I just bought a new gauge cluster how would I go about changing the mileage to the same mileage that my old cluster had? Can I just spin the numbers till they are same? Its an electronic one so no cable but I don't want to screw it up so it doesn't work??? Any help is appreciated!!!

Just put a sticker on the driver's door jamb stating the original mileage when it was changed. Whenever you have to give out the mileage, you just add the 2 together.
