I have a SG2. Is it accurate? Yes. Just follow the calibration procedure and the initial set up in the owner's manual. Mine has been within 1% (vs a manual math calculation Mileage divided by gallons). Is it worth it to save gas? Only if you use to temper your foot pedal. You can use it to measure instant MPG. Does it affect your gas mileage or improve it? No by itself. It's just a monitoring device, only your foot behavior will save gas. What I found it more useful for is to calculate distance to empty or gallon of gas left in addition to measuring mpg.
