I see she probally lied or never mentioned the HOA , this concerned me because I'll be buying my first house near the end of summer and while it has no HOA now there are alot of seniors and housewives with nothing to do that would love to be able to hand out tickets for lawn ornaments

I spoke with Blake the other night on AIM. He said as bad as he wants to update us all, he has been issued an injunction (gag order) and can't say much. He goes to court on 07/09/2008. He also wanted everyone here to know he thinks it's awesome that we have the sigs that say "I support dollyman".

Other than that, he is prohibited from speaking about this.

7/9 court date hu? I wonder if he would like some support in the seats too? I could be there for sure!

Does he have a fund set up at a nationwide bank to help cover his court costs?? I have $50 for him

In this case a gag order is rather gay. I'm not sure I understand the judges thought process there.

A gag order makes sense here. This issue is nation wide and is probably causing HOAs and businesses to take a second look, or even pass on contracts with APS.

This means a loss of business for APS. So the obvious thing to do is get a gag order.

Question to the law types. Lets say a freak accident occurs at your house. Massive blood loss i'm talking about. You rush the person out to your only vehicle to find that it is booted. No other way to get to the ER. Said person dies. Wouldn't the company that booted the vehicle be at fault?

No because you broke the rules to get your vehicle booted.

I don't know when it started. But with all the prices on houses right now. He can say F*$K Y0U to HOA and get a real house. Ans let everyone in the same community know about it too!

Gag order of the dollyman doesn't mean gag order for the rest of us. Someone can archive the web pages and send them to a local news station about the plight of the dollyman. This way, it'll be a loss for the APS either way. HOA would have to give the TPS a boot or no one will want to pay mortage for their houses.Would you buy a house where you have to pay $140 every morning?

Maybe... but if I remember the thread correctly they were suing (or talking about suing at the time) over invasion of privacy or some such nonsense because dollyman posted a picture of some higher up APS guy that he took while the guy was in dollyman's garage.

It sounds like he put a gag order on it because it was already attracting attention from the media thanks to the internet but since no lives were in danger... I can't agree with a gag order.

They immobilized your only mode of transportation.

There has to be something against immobilizing your personal vehicle.

Why are there no reprecutions against these companies if say, you get a boot and end up losing your job. Someone dies. Miss a flight. Etc...

I mean, if they had a person onsite at all times that could remove the boot in a timely order. Like under 5 minutes I could understand, but these guys takes hald days to get onsite to remove the thing sometimes!

The other thing to take into account is, at least in this case, the guy who put the boot on seemed to know the guy had a tag and had forgotten to put up. They were apparently told to use no discretion and that's retarded.

That is a perfect point. I think Blake is handling this perfectly. If it was me id set the wheels outside on the lawn with a for sale sign "Boots ARE included FREEEEE!"

Contacted two different news stations in Phoenix a day before before the gag order was issued. I spoke with the news director for KPHO, and he said he would look into it, but that was all he could say at that point.
