No parking/running lights, dash lights unless ignition is turned to acc or run..

Alright, so heres the story, I pray that someone can help. The car is a 1989 240SX Base model hatch. I bought the car as a shell with no driveline, but still had all the wiring besides the engine harness. This last weekend I swapped all the parts over from running but rusty 1989 SE hatch. Everything went pretty smoothly. Started up just like normal, runs fine, no issues mechanically. The problem lies somewhere in the wiring, or so I believe. The problem is this: I have no parking lights or dash lights unless the key is in the ignition and the key is in the acc or run position. Headlights function normally. Also, the climate control seems inoperative. The blower motor works and everything, but I just cant change positions. Its stuck in the defrost position. Anyone have any ideas?? Im lost, ive looked at a few wiring diagrams and checked all the fuses but am still drawing a blank. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
