no low beam headlights

both low beams are out. high beams work. checked all fuses, etc. nothing. any ideas?

It could be the switch itself, or possibly a relay. Did you check those?

where is the relay? i have the type B IPDM. the type A has the relay inside, but on the type b its somewhere else....anyone know?

I downloaded the service manual, but its only useful if i have consult nor does it have an ipb showing where the relays are (it might, but i searched until my eyes were tired).

i removed the IPDM to get a better look at all the related fuses, all were fine. In the Type A the low beam headlight relay is in the module, but even if it were, it doesn't appear to me that the relays in the module are removable. Just for gee whiz i tugged a little with some miniature pliers and they didn't budge??

you checked both fuse boxes (under dash and under IPDM)?

ended up being those God da**ed aftermarket hid lights. the ballasts were both out....for some reason when i put one bulb back in, only the high beam worked so I assumed it was the BCM or fuses or something else. then, later, i installed both bulbs taking out the hids and it worked. somehow the ballasts got wet or shorted out. long story short, make sure you get a good set of hid's the ones we had, xentec, were poor quality.
