I decided to take the stock exhaust out to see how the versa will sound and to tell you the truth the sound isnt bad at all

But theres only one problem, whenever im at a stop or at a red light, the pipes thats connected to the exhaust rattles and bang everywhere and makes alota noise, pretty embarrasing lol so i tried tieng it up-which worked for like a couple of hours but then the string just ripped apart.Anybody know a solution on how to get this pipe strapped down so it wont rattle?

Did you take the axle back or the whole cat back off?

I noticed when talking the rear muffler off the rest of the exhaust was laying on the rear axle cause it has no other support.

Use an old wire coat hanger or get some galvanized bailing wire.

Go to your local hardware store (home depot, lowes, Ace, etc.) and pick up a roll of plumbers tape. Not teflon tape, I'm talking about the steel strip with screw holes in it.

It is flexible, made of steel, so it can handle the heat, and you can use the holes to run a screw or bolt through to hang your exhaust.

You're not actually running this car with the exhaust ending before the rear axle, are you? If so, that's a fire hazard.

So is your exhaust no longer extending to the rear of the car? If your exhaust is not extended all the way to the back of the car as designed this is not only illegal but dangerous. Fumes can leak into the cabin endangering its occupants. I don't really see the point of making the change you've done. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you have done.

Well i was never planning on keeping it like that.Just wanted to see what it wouldve sounded like without the exhaust, if all that rattling didnt happen then maybe i wouldve took the exhaust for good but na too much noise.

I bet it sounded like a 20 year old car with a badly rusted exhaust system. Eventually all Versas will sound like that. give it time.
