I have a 2001 QX4...

I am getting an SES light - [P0160 - Heated O2 Sensor Slow Response] that has come up a couple times...I have turned it off each time...But now asking for thoughts as back on again...

a.) Is this caused by loose/open gas filler cap...[They have been click locked tight always so eliminated that]...

b.) Just a failing O2 Sensor, and is that an easy replace...

c.) Or something else that I really need to have done soon...

Appreciate any thoughts and suggestions...

the pathfinder seems to have the exact same issue. the fix is to replace both rear O2 sensors and reprogram the ECM to a more current part number.

to delay the heater on point so the moisture in the exhuast will burn off before it activates the O2 heater and burns itself up. The ecm will not ground the heater circuit till enough time or engine temp increase is obtained.
