New stuff this time. We've updated our reliability stats for the Versa to include owner experiences through the end of 2014. Plus we've added reliability trends graphs. These indicate how a model's reliability has changed as it has aged, and how different model years performed when the same age.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2014 Versa: 0, low, very small sample size
2012 Versa: 0, low, very small sample size
2012 Versa hatchback: 11, low, very small sample size
2011 Versa: 9, low, very small sample size
2010 Versa: 19, low, very small sample size
2009 Versa: 43, low
2008 Versa: 57, moderate
2007 Versa: 57, moderate

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2009 Versa: 70, < 1
2008 Versa: 68, 3
2007 Versa: 61, 4

We'll have further updates in May and in August. The more owners participate, the more comprehensive and precise these will be.

:ohno:

My 2008 Nissan Versa caught on fire while I was driving down the road. Of course, it cut-off 1st, then the entire engine burst into flames. I asked that an Engineer from Nissan North American in Smyrna TN inspect the vehicle to discover the cause of the fire. That took forever for them to do the inspection. My Insurance finally sued Nissan and got all of their money back, Nissan settled out of court so they wouldn't have to disclose the reason for the fire.

So, how have these cars been doing lately?

Our reliability stats for the Versa now include owner experiences through March 31, 2015. (Others are nearly a year behind.)

In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year ("low" is best):

2014 Versa: 0, low, small sample size
2012 Versa: 0, low, very small sample size
2012 Versa hatchback: 12, low, very small sample size
2011 Versa: 29, low, very small sample size
2010 Versa: 24, low, very small sample size
2009 Versa: 51, moderate
2008 Versa: 63, moderate
2007 Versa: 59, moderate

Plus, the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2009 Versa: 58, 4
2008 Versa: 62, 4
2007 Versa: 59, 8

No stat for a model year? Then we very much need more participants for it. Same for those with small sample size notes. Next updates in August and November.

Thanks for signing up!

Our reliability stats for the Versa now cover the year ending June 30, 2015. (Others are over a year behind, and so report how these cars were doing when a year younger.)

Repair trips per 100 cars:

2014 Versa: 11, low, small sample size
2012 Versa: 13, low, very small sample size
2011 Versa: 34, low, very small sample size
2010 Versa: 0, low, very small sample size
2009 Versa: 50, moderate
2008 Versa: 47, low
2007 Versa: 62, moderate

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2009 Versa: 63, 8
2008 Versa: 75, 7
2007 Versa: 54, 7

If a model year isn't listed, or its sample size is small, then we especially need more owners involved.

I'm not signing up because I traded in my 2014 Versa Note but I will add that at 18,000 miles,it needed a new front left wheel bearing and a Tramsmission replacement.

We've updated our reliability stats for the Versa to include owner experiences through the end of 2015, about eight months ahead of other sources.

In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year--lower is better:

2015 Versa: 42, moderate, small sample size
2014 Versa: 27, low, small sample size
2012 Versa: 13, low, very small sample size
2011 Versa: 109, high, very small sample size
2010 Versa: 21, low, very small sample size
2009 Versa: 58, moderate
2008 Versa: 42, low
2007 Versa: 67, moderate

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2007 Versa: 52, 4

No stat, or a small sample size? Then we especially need more owners involved for that model year.

We try to cover all cars from the past 15 model years. You can certainly join with whatever car you have now.

Car: VERSA Note

Post

I just bought a used Nissan 2015 Versa Note SV with 40K from Enterprise Used car sales for my wife after her 2006 Toyota Matrix was totaled in an accident.
she likes it and it seems like a pretty nice car.

It's pretty basic standard car but it will do the trick.
its got blue tooth, USB / Aux radio support and a leather steering wheel, Hooker red.

:)

SO how do I sign up for this??
