How so? I've taken mine out autocrossing. Didn't really do any worse than other cars I've run (though, of course, not as well as when I ran my dad's Miata)

Edit: Couldn't resist... polkpe just posted this pic...

The hatch pics do indeed look like a 5 lug wheel... but I don't know why they'd leave the front disc breaks shiny and paint the back ones black... So I'm doubting there's a conversion there... plus the calipers are usually on opposite sides of the wheel... aren't they?

Plus if you actually read the forum for the hatch pictures... they're talking about a version of the Tiida referred to as the GT3... Different engine and specs, but it seems as though it is actually a stripped and molded Versa... the Sedan was made for GT1 and the Hatch is projected to replace it. The GT3 has an SR20 mid-engine ... crazy.

p.s. if people can race turtles... than why not Versas?

I see this kinda like Nascar, it may look like a Versa, but it ain't at this point!I couldn't imagine doing all that to a car without upgrading a major weak point like the brakes.

well, the GT1 has Brembo brakes... I was just stating that I don't clearly see that the back breaks on the GT3 are disc breaks. The coloring/position seems inconsistent.

I may be a girl, but I am no retawdid. I understand the basic premise of a race car. But there is so race/competitive track activities which people take actual off-the-lot Versas to and compete them and I say that if that's your thing, do whatchya wanna do... There are people who think it is stupid of me to paint my car red and blue and to act like it is a WWI biplane... I have no stones to throw.

Do you like to buzz cows in fields with you car?

I would think you would have stones to throw, because that was one of the Weapons WW1 pilots used!

The Sopwith Camel trademark was the hump, how does that play out with your car?

I do not buzz cows.

The rock comment is funny and true... but I meant metaphorically. Oh wait, no, I don't throw rocks out my car...

I plan to (when I get some other things finished) have a local artisan make replica vickers guns and mount them, complete with humps, to the hood. I'd also like to point out that the purpose of an Art Car/Theme Car is not to be something else, it is to envoke the idea of something else. I'm not planning on having wings or a tail section either. Strike that, because I am planning to make wings for display purposes when I go to shows, but I still don't plan on a tail section. The closest I plan on for that is getting ahold of the IMPUL wing and having the flash painted on it.

valverderacing.com has the brembos off the SER, didnt say how they got them to work, from the looks of it, thats a MR20DE with ITB and some major work, doesnt look like a SR(as the intake is on the other side) but they wouldnt talk about the engine, it has rear discs and a six speed transmission...anyway maybe this summer when i go on holiday to visit family in central america i can try to go see them at a race....unless someone else can get more pics/better info
