Figured Id reply here too. I found the other placard in the engine bay a while ago and never updated in the registry. Info is not on the door jamb but in the engine bay. I feel that is a thing done on the early rigs. Havnt seen enough of them around here to confirm that or not.jp2code wrote:[

Is that something you learned recently? Is that info not posted on your door jam?
Now that I've learned I can get the engine RPM down at cruise speed with an HG41 axle, I've been digging through door plate data trying to find out when these were put out there.
From what I can see, the HG series is the Limited Slip variety whereas the HF is the non-limited slip.
Mine is 86.5 4wd 5 speed with 4.11. He can probably pull a v-6 4.11 ring gear off and fit it on his current HD rear diff.Rev_D21 wrote:1996-1997 Automatic 2wd trucks came with 4.11 gears. LSD in a 2wd is still pretty rare in all years.
Thanks for the props on the wheels. I wanted the 16" cause easier to get tires and also a more aggressive look with a little more clearance. I also wanted to keep the factory look. So the X-terra wheels seemed to do the trick.Rev_D21 wrote:Those Frontier wheels look good on a red truck. Usually I don't like them but on red they look excellent. Thanks for posting!
