Hi Guys,

I have a GF50 chassis VHD45 RHD here in the uk and the passenger side (left) folding mirror hinge/gearbox has been broken, does anyone know of another nissan that shares the internals? it might be easier to find than the whole assembly, at least here in the uk where all of them are unofficial imports!

Well, the GF50 model never came with the VH. Is your model code an F50 or G50. The F50 has the vk45, the G50 has the VH45... more clarity here. You are going to need to just buy a used entire unit either way. I have some G50 power mirrors....

Hi, It is a JDM model, complete with japanese text in the central console. I just checked it seems to be the VK45DE, ia used this site:
https://nissan.epc-data.com/cima/gf50/ and at some point accidentally followed the infiniti branch, and noted the wrong number.
That site helps, but sems to be incomplete. I have found a part number, but would also like to know if any of the internals of the wing mirror are shared?

It is just the pivot that is broken, nothing else, paint not scuffed either.

If it's just the pivot you could get away with one of those I bet. Yahoo auctions is best for used parts... going to have to use a middleman service unless you go through the whole yahoo auction signup thing yourself. Quite complicated but doable

Hi BCC,

I have seen a bunch of other similar part numbers, is there an easy way to see if it is just a different colour of part or if the mechanical fit might be different. I downloaded some FAST files, but cant get them to run on Win7, so been unable to dig any closer than what is provided on that epc-data site.

A few used pairs on ebay usa. Like 100 to 250$ range... I assume all 01-06 folding Q45 are the same. Probably all 01-10 presidents and cimas share as well

Hi,
a problem with the usa purchases is the 20% tax on the shipping as well as the goods, so it ends up almost double the headline price, but I will be keeping the usa models in mind.

also I think there are some that are not motorised too. Mine have the motor to close at door locking time.

when I put my VIN into the web parts manual pages I get this:

Frame / Series GF50 / F50
body S (sedan )
engine VK45DE (VK45DE engine )
drive 2WD (two-wheel drive )
Production month 12.2006
grade 450XV
transmission AT.F5 (5-speed automatic transmission )
Interior color S
Body color KX6 Spec code ETCS2, GLSDP, HGAS2, NAVI4, STTMK, YEAR6

Would that be tunable? just want to know if it is possible for now.

I now have a wing mirror from Malaysia and would like to know the procedure for opening up the raplacemment without damaging it, as I need to swap out the swivel/hinge part.

Thanks
