Added my '09 Altima Coupe 3.5.

Had it a month now. After 3300 miles on the car now, the driver side window's "auto" clicking feature will not roll up the window. The auto feature will roll down though. Going to take it to dealer very soon.

im pretty new to this... I purchased a 2002 altima 2.5 sl, what a nightmare it was. I learned later on about the pre cat failure. The oil consumption was rediculous!! I was putting something like a quart every hundred miles1 crazy. Beware, stay away from the 2002 altimas! Randy Furtado R.I.

I'll sign up my '08 coupe and sedan, though.
We collect data going forward to minimize the chances of bias. You could still post repairs for previous cars, but since there weren't any to post...

Thanks for helping out with the current cars! This is a great group of owners.

Any 2013 owners here yet? We'd love to have some quick stats for the new Altima. Just a matter of how soon enough owners get involved. Eight are signed up so far, so we're off to a good start.

Hey, AZhitman, why no subforum for the latest generation?

15 of them now signed up, better, but more remain needed!

New stuff this time. We've updated our reliability stats for the Altima to include owner experiences through the end of 2014. Plus we've added reliability trends graphs. These indicate how a model's reliability has changed as it has aged, and how different model years performed when the same age.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2014 Altima: 29, low
2013 Altima: 37, moderate
2012 Altima: 17, low
2011 Altima: 21, low
2010 Altima: 13, low
2009 Altima: 36, low
2008 Altima: 29, low
2007 Altima: 39, low
2006 Altima: 70, moderate, very small sample size
2005 Altima: 57, low
2003 Altima: 72, low, very small sample size

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2013 Altima: 75, 2
2010 Altima: 88, < 1
2008 Altima: 73, < 1
2007 Altima: 60, < 1

We'll have further updates in May and in August. The more owners participate, the more comprehensive and precise these will be.

So, how have these cars been doing lately?

Our reliability stats for the Altima now include owner experiences through March 31, 2015. (Others are nearly a year behind.)

In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year ("low" is best):

2014 Altima: 40, moderate
2013 Altima: 40, moderate
2012 Altima: 17, low
2011 Altima: 30, low
2010 Altima: 16, low
2009 Altima: 52, moderate
2008 Altima: 26, low
2007 Altima: 33, low
2006 Altima: 82, moderate, very small sample size
2005 Altima: 50, low
2003 Altima: 66, low, very small sample size

Plus, the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2013 Altima: 80, < 1
2010 Altima: 86, < 1
2008 Altima: 75, < 1
2007 Altima: 70, < 1

No stat for a model year? Then we very much need more participants for it. Same for those with small sample size notes. Next updates in August and November.

Our reliability stats for the Altima now cover the year ending June 30, 2015. (Others are over a year behind, and so report how these cars were doing when a year younger.)

Repair trips per 100 cars:

2015 Altima: 0, low, very small sample size
2014 Altima: 36, moderate
2013 Altima: 38, moderate
2012 Altima: 14, low
2011 Altima: 29, low, small sample size
2010 Altima: 22, low
2009 Altima: 67, moderate
2008 Altima: 19, low
2007 Altima: 33, low
2006 Altima: 80, moderate, very small sample size
2005 Altima: 59, low
2003 Altima: 59, low, small sample size

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2013 Altima: 70, < 1
2010 Altima: 82, < 1
2008 Altima: 87, < 1
2007 Altima: 79, < 1

If a model year isn't listed, or its sample size is small, then we especially need more owners involved.
