Hey TMS, I'm going to try to get out to Tokyo for TAS in January. Think you might be able to make it up there to meet up with me and Neal for the show?

Also, check out our Frapper map man, you need to sign up on that thing. You and floatingpoint.

Why take your 240 when you can pick up a

- 180- Silvia- Skyline/GT-R- Laurel- Cefiro- Stagea- <insert hot ride we don't get here>

when you get there?

Bah! I can't believe I squandered my time on Oki chasing tail instead of getting into cars.

good point sil40, but technically we arent allowed to have cars there unless we have rank or a family there or sign up for an extended tour. but if they dont know it wont hurt them right? how hard is it to get a japanese license?

I've been told you can get an international license through AAA.

Yeah, you can....they are only $10.....I have one.

But! They only are valid for one year before you have to renew.

I'll see if I can get you some info for Okinawa. I have a JN licence. Tripple AAA, from what I was told when I came here, their permit is only good for one time. Mad, did you get yours renewed with any problems?

When I got mine, I had to have proof that the stateside license was valid. I had to get a notarized copy of my license being issued and had it mailed to me. That was the hard part. The easy part is taking the written test...10 questions all in English. Then a driving test. Specify you want to take it in a manual tranny car. BUT...I recommend getting the 1 year permit to practice driving over here first. The drivers course was kinda tight, and if you make even the slightest mistake, you have to wait 30 days to take the test again.

I will go to the auto salon when I have the FJ20 loaded in a 32. I want to be in Option for my trouble. I want to grab inada-sans arm and say, "come out to the parking lot and see something really cool put together for less than the paint and body kit on that car". Big Nico sticker across the window too, repazent.

I am pretty spontaneous when it comes to going out driving. I did last night...lol

Usually I drive the C1 and a small stretch of the wangan from just past Rainbow bridge up to about 2 miles north. I usually hit this PA on one of the exit ramps.

If you wanna go out sometime, give me a holla.
