Thanks for the welcome guys.....

I went with the front end swap since I wanted to be "sleeper-like" and wanted a different look.. I figured if and when I go boost the intercooler will show more, and get more air to it.... I also did the 04 rear end (Bumper/tails) after I was rear ended earlier this year. It compliments the car better Imo....

Nice G20 wheels for winter

That's a sick looking car, and I love the front end conversion.

Not sure...somewhere around $300-400, I think it's reasonable. I'll even put valve stems in for you and call it a day. They're already balanced.

Debating whether or not to go boost... I want to but its like 3500 installed...

Theres also the all motor route which i started on... theres a new intake mani that will be realeaed soon, just the mani got about 15whp..

after that maybe some high compression pistons... bump the compression from 9:1 to 10.5:1 or 11:1 get a good 20-30 horse out of that...

IF i could get over the 200 mark na safe, I would much rather do that. I would run a solid 13 sec 1/4 mile, and still have some sort or reliability.

I know people who bost say theres ways to make boost reliable, but with as much as i drive, and as little time i have to keep up with matinence, it would never happen...

but never say never, if a kit comes along cheap, i might just have to pick it up.

200WHP has always been the magic number for 02-06 specs because it is so hard to obtain. bumping compression should help, also there is a guy some where on these boards that polishes down throttle bodies, that also might be good for a 1-2 whp gain. i look forward to seeing a Dyno sheet

It's funny you mention the 200HP mark seeing as how the new Spec V has a 200HP crank number. Let us know what happens.

The B15 SE-R/Specs were notorious for dynoing conspicuously low considering they were supposedly 175hp. I've seen stock B15 Specs dyno as low as 125whp.

Considering SAE revised the way they determine hp ratings, I assume the new ones don't have the same fate. That would mean that 200whp on a new SE-R is not much more than boltons away, as average loss in a FWD car is ~12%, and 25whp isn't all that difficult.

some guys on another forum have consistently dynoed their stock b16 specs anywhere from 169 to 176, which is right in the ballpark you're talking about. the 07+ models shouldn't have all that hard a time crossing the 200whp thresh hold as soon as the aftermarket catches up.

I dynoed at 155whp and like 165 wtq with i/h/e on a hot day it must have been at least 85 out...

the 07+ guys are dynoing at and average of 175 stock..

02-06 guys dyno stock at around 145... the way i see it the extra 30 horse come from the compression..

if i can gain 30 whp over what i have know i should be over the 200 whp mark...

02-06 has 9:1 07 have 10.5:1...

if i throw those pistons in i should be around the 10.75:1 or 11:1 since i also have cams...

with the Intake mani thats coming out that should add up to around 20 whp as well... leaving me around the 215 mark... I'm just waiting to see how things go...

btw can any1 get me prices on the 07+ qr pistons? If there not to expensive, ill order them, and be on my way! dyno sheets and all...

Thanks, But I've reat that plenty of times waiting for updates...

Wperdigon installed my cams, cut my chain and installed my intake mani spacer... I'm familiar with him and his work... The reason I bring up the new pistons is because the qr20's come strait from Japan, they might be very over priced, and he mentions that a stand alone might be used to control the timing... with the new qr pistons its only 10.5:1 so a simple safc would do the trick...

I've looked these things up plenty, before mumbling around like a newb...

Just went back on b15 today, and he gave an update... you would need something bigger than a safc like an emanage to run the qr20 pistons..

he also mentioned that the everything bols tup together and there should be no problem with either piston... so i think im just going to look for a set of 07+ qr pistons to throw in there...

Makes no sense to order the qr20 pistons, and have to do stand alone just for the extra power... well at least in my opinion...

I just want some more power, to be able to keep up with these newer cars...
