newbie help!

i have driven honda's since i got my license... and i figure it's time for a change. so i have been looking for a 240sx (but i have kinda high standards)... when out of no where the car i have been dreaming about appears into my life... it has a silvia front end conversion... jdm parts out the ***, and 3 piece drift wheels... in short it's awesome.

but there is one problem with it... well, make that two...1. it's an 89... thus it still has the Single cam motor... which i would replace by the end of the year anyways...2. the real problem though is that i can't replace the engine till then and this one has to last. it has a bent exhaust valve... is this something i can fix under 500 bucks, cuz that's all i have left once i buy the car... or should i steer clear? i really need this car so i hope this is a cheap fix... thanks in advance...

Some guys here have recently gone into their engine and replaced some valves, wait a while and they should post, or you could search . You got any pics?

here are the pics... i plan on repainting a silver/grey color and powdercoating the wheels bronze... and of course dropping an engine into... prolly a ca18det, just because it's cheap...

Your bent exhaust valves could easily be fixed for under 500, I me an you could get a new KA (dohc or sohc) engine for 400-500 and then part out your old one and get a little money back..

that is the crappiest paint ever! other than that it looks pretty good. HOw much? 2000? If it was running with good paint I'd pay 3600.

you can buy a spare sohc cheap. i got a spare one for $100 including ecu.
