Yeah they're very uncommon in the US but there are a few owners posting on SR20Forum. We can get JDM imports in Canada because of the 15+ years restriction but it might be about to change soon. In Quebec you cant register any new right hand drive cars since april 29 2009. They should give a final review about this in march or april 2010. Let's just hope they forget that silly idea and just restrict more the import or regulate the dealers who import trash cars. There's a hell of a lot more dangerous cars on the road than the very few (lets say 3000) rhd cars on the Quebec roads. My 94 Civic for example is rusted to hell and is about to fall apart!S13k wrote:to tell you the truth this is the first time i've seen these cars, and i like it already,
man i dont even know what to say about it but nice car and very nice part lists
No s***, I absolutely love this pic!RED_DET wrote:Nice rides, makes me wish my sentra was awd even more.
That's true. There is a big lack of small turbo hatches. Never again will I own a car with a regular trunk. Hatchback is amazing and so much useful compared to a trunk. You fold the seats and it becomes a storage monster. Moved a few friends with it, you can pack alot of boxes in there!VMPhil wrote:I love the GTI-R. something about owning a powerful little Turbo hatch. Which is probably i went VW after i sold the Sentra.
They have threatened to stop allowing the importation of many cars and threatened to alter the 15 year rule for mor than 20 years now, but yet haven't done it. Let's see what 2010 brings. Keep in mind that diplomats can import anything they wants consequence free as they fall under the umbrella od Foreign Affairs instead of Transport Canada and they end up selling their cars which miraculously get registered even though they don't comply with Transport Canada's rules and regulations. The rules do get broken often and only when someones snitches does anything happen. The owner of Quebec Son imported a BMW Z1 back in the day when it clearly was inadmissable and what did the press do....they plastered it all over the newspaper praising it. I never saw him lose that car even though it was illegal. Same thing with an Alfa Romeo 156 that was for sale in the Hebdo and that car was only a few years old at that time. Rules don't always apply to everyone.vizi0n wrote:.... We can get JDM imports in Canada because of the 15+ years restriction but it might be about to change soon. It does indeed look like a blend of a Golf, Forester and Civic.SkinnyKibbles wrote:P1 looks awesome, but something in my head keeps saying, "looks like a VW" Am I going to hell? I know how bad a** the car is but still the lines don't lie.
