Hi guys, New to the group. First things first im jeff. learned alot from your faqs and stickys which i read before registering. did some searches. I've also google'd a lot. Im about to pick up a 240 with a ca18det but it has a spun bearing. I figured while I have it apart im going to rebuild it. I found a kit from http://www.importperformanceparts.net and was wondering what any of your experiences are with that site as a business. they want $925 for the kit which includes Complete Gasket Set Copper/MLS Head Gasket Wiseco Forged Pistons (83, 83.5, 84mm Bore) and (8.5, 8.8:1 compression) Plasma Moly Rings Performance Wrist Pins TOGA HP Main Bearings TOGA HP Rod Bearings Freeze Plugs

figured I would upgrade to a 6 puck clutch as well. The car has a SR T25 turbo with it as well. And a VSLD, which I have yet to ask him what that is. I will probably pick it up at the end of this week. I also want to say you guys have an awesome sticky collection great info in there!!! one of the best i've seen on any forums group. Job well done. Thankyou for your time and hopefully i get this car running soon. Im sorry one last question, I apologize for not searching this one, as im about to goto bed...but the ecu system, I know I could run a SDS system but is there any plug and play systems for this car? maybe a chip for re-mapping the fuel system or a fuel cut defenser maybe?jeff

I would get the motor apart and measure all of the clearances before you buy the kit. You may have to get oversized bearings/pistons/rings.

A VLSD is a Viscous Limited Slip Differential. It makes both of the rear wheels spin if you start to loose traction instead of just one. It will allow you to exit a turn at a faster speed.

There chips available from the UK that people seem to be having luck with. You could also get an Apex Power FC, but they don't look like they'd be easy to program.
