If I put together a meet somewhere in the middle of the state around the middle of Sept. would you guys be down for that?

I'm thinking Sept 13th at some park near Fond du Lac? Fondy seems like a pretty central location for all.. It's about an hour + from Green Bay, Milwaukee, Madison, etc...

Yeah, it's really tough to put an event together because everyone else is always wishy-washy about their schedules and stuff.

Let's mark down Sept 13th as our date. That's a Sat.

Let's shoot for a minimum of 10 cars to make it worth doing. I think we can pull that off easy enough. We'll do a park somewhere. Make it really low key and easy going. Charge only a $5 entry for people who want food. We'll bring a couple charcoal grills and do a cookout.

Me, my brother, Karl, Justin, Tom (and his Supra), Nick (flicktitty)... that's 6 already. 10 people makes a fun get-together, 20 people makes it a success, and who knows, I might get the whole of NICO behind it due to the cancellation of NOPI Nationals... so we might blow it up.

Anybody familiar with Fond du Lac area? I'm really not... Can we choose a park or something and I'll work on getting us permission to be there.

Thanks guys.

Good questions!

I think we'll primarily market to Nissan. But it will be open to anyone. We've got some buddies with Mk4 supras, civics, rx-7's, etc...

I would say it's a Wisconsin Nissan meet, but open to invitation for any friends who'd like to join us.

We can call it a NICO meet if we want to. I've got a message in with the boss to see if he wants to play it up and make it a big event or not. We'll see. I will say that if NICO get's behind it full force, we'll need a bigger venue and probably move it close to Milwaukee/Chicago area. But we'll cross that bridge when the time comes.

I think grilling and hanging out will be the focus. It would be cool to have someone with some photography skills to offer shots of the cars for everyone. We could have a little swap meet for people to exchange parts and stuff.

Any other ideas??? Now is the time to throw them it.

I've got some friends that are AWESOME with cameras i can see if anyone wants to come up. If nothing else i am decent with them but nothing to special. I like the Idea of a Swap meet/pars sale. I think we should start a new thread on this.

count me in!im always up for a good meet.

If you are thinking about making this meet a little bigger and accessible to more people, i know of a great county park in waukesha county which is directly in between madison and milwaukee and fondulac and chicago. it is located right off of I94. i can go take pics tommorow if you would like.

im just throwing that out there, its not that im not willing to drive that far, im just thinking about making it easy for everyone to get there.

I so excited though. im glad you set a date. we are long overdue for a wisconsin meet

Agreed.. we're long due for a meet.

We'll have a good size group coming down from Green Bay, so Fondy is about central for us vs. Madison vs. Milwaukee. Folks from Illinois are more than welcome, but we're really after Wisconsin folks.

Looks to be parking for about 65 in the lot we chose. I've already talked to public works and parks and rec about reserving a shelter and the parking lot next to it. So we should be in good shape.

If we think we'll be more than 65 people, then we'll have to reconsider our location... perhaps something closer to Milwaukee in that case.

My wife is putting it together. She's got the basic layout done.. now I just have to insert all the info (who, where, when, how to get there, what time, etc...)

I'll try to get it out today.

Edit.. Here's a rough draft.

Any suggestions for edits?

I am going to swap the 300zx on the bottom right for a Supra just to show that it's not Nissan Only.

Here's another edit of the flyer.

I set up a new thread specifically for this meet. zerothread/353382

Looking forward to it.
