we bought our daughter a 1997 Nissan200sx-se-r Sentra.all decals and emblems are removed - listed as a sentra for insurance purposes.

now it has a Stillen strut bar front and rear-under hood and in trunk.it has numbers on it for camber and toe. I assume.it has shocks with numbers 1-4 on top of them.anyone know which wat is what and what are they for , I assume for the $1,000.00 rims and lowest profile tires i have ever seen.all 4 brake calipers are red.it has possibly a catback exhaust system-by the looks of the exhaust and the sound.so ppl i need help in identifying what is on this car and what i need to do next.ps- this is a small town and they don,t work on drifting-racing cars or don't have time to give a little free advice.so can you help me.pictures can be provided-once i learn how to upload them.see ya........Samo.

You need to host the photos somewhere else (photobucket, Google's Picasa, etc) and then use image tags [img]photo url here[/ img] without the space to post them.

Pictures would be very helpful here. Does the exhaust say anything on it (tip, canister)?

Those numbers are for adjustability. They don't really affect camber or toe, but the tighter it is, the less chassis flex will occur.

What sort of wheels are they? You may want to get on a tire size calculator and make sure they're properly matched up to what the stock wheel/tire diameter would have been, otherwise the speedo and odo are off.

The calipers were probably just painted. If there are words on them besides "Nissan" (though the stock ones may not say anything) then let us know what the word(s) are.

That's a pretty good exhaust, so no worries there.

this car was bought for 3,000.00 with 65,000 origional miles driven very little the last 2 years.no leaks, no smoking, no rattling in the engine, definatelly a hard ride.now about the shocks with the adjusting screw on top, it is set on 3 what and why.thanks for the quick replies.we also bought our son a Nissan Maxima Glx/Gxe se.starting to want a Nissan.....but living off of a disability check once a month, its hell.i don't even have a vehicle.my wife has a 97 6cyl. mustang. 185,000 miles and leaks 2 quarts of oil a month-rear main.

Ouch.

Lower numbers will make it softer, so try 2 and see how it goes. What color are the shocks? I should be able to ID them just off that.

what is a B14, excuse my ignorance in Nissans, and believe me i cried as much as she did Christmas day when my wife gave her the little box witha a keyring and a key on it.the shocks are colored but i cant remember.waiting for her to wash it before i take some pictures-soon i hope!Hell man she never stays home.and how do you adjust these shocks is there a locknut or just turn the screw with a screwdriver?

ok; the shocks are red and have a coil over and an adjusting nut.so i need to soften up this ride.the tires have about an inch clearance from the top of the fender.so can someone help me? http://www.endura-tech.com/pro...ey=31this is what the top looks like and the spring adjustment except they are red.

B14 = 95-99 Sentra/200SX

Is there any writing on the spring?

Red makes me think they're KYB AGXs. You should be able to simply turn the nut to soften them up.

A small screwdriver is used to adjust the front struts and the rear stuts are adjusted by turning a big knob. the lower the setting, the softer the ride.

This is assuming they are KYB AGX struts

the front -all i have to do is just turn the screw to a 2.the rear- has a nut that i believe tightens the coil but i am not sure.it uses a c shaped wrench. i haven't looked for an adjusting knob, but dont remember seeing one. then again i wasn't looking. I will do a better inspection next time.the stillen cross member from shock to shock under the hood and the adjusting support for shock and cross piece are all silver in color and the word stillen is in red-this i can not find still Googling!forgive my termalogy of some items-still trying to find out what all is on this ride. Thank all of you for your knowledge and support and don't give up on me. I'm trying to learn....Thanks.........Samo.

that would be the stillen strut tower brace. They are discontinued now which is probably why you can't find them. It's a very good, high quality bar so keep that.
