Congrats! Just out of curiosity, how much did you end up paying? Ive been wondering what deal people got with clash for clunkersdjbacon06 wrote:Hey everybody, my name is Joey and I'm down in Atlanta, GA. I recently purchased a 2009 2.5 S super black altima coupe. So far I am loving it! I got a killer deal on it by doing the cash for clunkers program and selling my car outright. My previous car was a 1995 Acura Legend LS, in wonderful condition. However, I got tired of constantly having expensive maintenance on it, so I decided enough is enough and I ended up with this. And I couldn't be happier!
Future plans for the car: HID headlightsFog lights, with HIDPossibly LED stripTintEventually stereo upgradeDon't know what else?
By the way, it's auto, but only because there were no 6 speeds in the state of GA at the time of my purchase. I couldn't wait any longer though. I was a little weirded out by the CVT transmission at first, but now I think it's fantastic
Hi there, Joey, and welcome to the forums. I myself am just about an hour or two south of you down I-75 (Macon/Warner Robins area).djbacon06 wrote:Hey everybody, my name is Joey and I'm down in Atlanta, GA. I recently purchased a 2009 2.5 S super black altima coupe.

Ah, yes, I've been down there a couple of times. I actually bought mine about 3 weeks ago, on August 9th, I think it was. I was a bit disappointed to find out about the no 6 speeds because I called up the dealer I was going to purchase from (Stone Mountain Nissan - great people by the way!!) and was told they didn't have any in stock, but that they could have one delivered same day. Anywho, to make a long story short, the salesman didn't actually check the GA inventory until I got there and lo and behold, no 6 speeds in GA. I was pretty upset, but it only made my deal better I think. I do live in Atlanta, so maybe the CVT was ultimately the way to go anyway.basilikon wrote:

When did you buy your A/C? The only reason I ask is because I bought mine in early July this year, and I *had* to go to Atlanta (specifically Marietta) to actually find a 6MT (there were none in mid-GA at any of the dealers I contacted). And they had 2 super black A/Cs (2.5S) there when I bought mine (from Team Nissan Marietta).
Looking forward to some car pics, so get some up here

Thank you! It's funny you say that, I actually forgot I had signed up for this site ages ago.brianna71404 wrote:Welcome to the forum but obvi not the site, looks like you've been on for a while. Enjoy your new car!!
Hmmm, well let's just say it was WELL under $20,000. I got $4500 for my clunker (a 1990 Isuzu Trooper) plus the $1500 off Nissan incentive plus another $1000 off in additional negotiation. All in all, I think I got a killer deal on this vehicle.yoonzilla wrote:

thanks! I think the coupes are still pretty rare, at least IN Atlanta. I've only seen a couple around here. Lots of sedans though...turbocoupe wrote:So now I know there are at least two black 2009 2.5S Altima Coupes in metro Atlanta. I live in the Conyers/Covington area. I saw a Black 3.5 at IHOP this morning. I have begun to see more AC’s around in the last month or so. When I bought mine in April they were still relatively rare. Welcome to the Forum, it’s a great bunch of people.
