new..to me "83 280 zx turbo

finally purchased the 83 zx turbo my mechanic has been holding( 9 mos.) for me!!! finally got a really close look at the car. it seems to be pretty much solid, lots of body rust where it has been sitting for 4 or 5 years, but is still solid. he is a nissan fanatic!!! has owned 2 300' and still has 1 in his garage!! the 280 was gonna be his next project, till i stole it from him, lol!!!! ( side note, his dad just bought a 08 350 Zand his mother is the proud owner of a new 370 Z!!, couldn't be out done) i am gonna need a few body replacement panels, hood, rear valance, mostly. the interior is rough, but intact. located upholestery kits, and carpet, but need a dash, (red or black), any suggestions where i can find body parts? i have checked the z store, and they dont have what i need. any other sources i can check? will post ugly pics when i get it home, lol, bet it still runs good!!

MSA (Zstore) should ahve interior and exterior parts you need might be worth a call, black dragon has exterior and interior, hard to find bits, zedd findings, datsun restore and smaller suppliers can help with odds and ends, and z barn in TN has lots of used Z parts

ok guys and gals, i know its been a while, BUT, the 280 finally arrived at my house. (on a roll back...lol) but again you cannont place a time or price on what you want..right???so here again, i bought the car for $600.00, and he threw in an extra garrett T-3 turbo cause we thought the stock was locked up. the body is in decent shape, but needes a lot of work. lots of surface rust, but the sheet metal is in ok shape. however, upon closer inspection the underside is in need of of serious rework. it looks like like someone used it for 4WD fun ( n.ala speciality..lol). the first plan is to get it back in running condition, then do an interior overhaul. it is currently red, but i want to update it with black accents, seats, carpetets, some trim, then paint the outside with the 2005 anniversery edt. silver to match the 350Z. the plan is then to start upgrades to the motor, first an intercooler, bov, larger turbo, bigger injectors, megasquirt ecu (thanks evildyky, been doing my homework!!) , boost contoler...ect.. the car is currently pretty much orignal, eccept wher some previous owner butchered the turbo exhaust housing, and took off the turbo oil filter adapter. ( no wonder the turbo was seized!!!!). i had the turbo off and fred it up, but am planning on replacing it in the near furure. this is not going to be one of those quick, megamoney builds that are sometimes seen on here, i am currently married with a soon to be college kid ( who wants to be a doctor...family practice..for those who need one..lol... who wants a 300zxtt to drive!!!) i know i said earlier i would post pics... and i will, but it seems my photobucket acct. got deleted due to non use?????, anyway, i will post ugly pics as soon as i get them up, ( and do have some on myspace, if you're interested), and will do my best to update ya'll when i can remember to take the camera out with me to work on it.. hang in there guys and gals....gonna be a long trip... but i work on the river, and am used to long separations... lol, but i do keep up with ya'll thru my laptop...so be nice, keep the sources coming, and IN business, and will be hollering at yall soon....
