Welcome and hope you enjoy your new car I had never owned a nissan before, nor really drove one before my spec v. I was somewhat skeptical for the first week or so when I got it, but now I absolutely love it. What kind of driving will you be doing with this car? From that we can help you on a few upgrades. Enjoy your stay

well i do not like the body roll the car has so im going to lower it and give it some suspension work so it handles better and turns with out me feeling like im going to go into the other lane and just driving it around the streets no real track or anything but if i had to conpare it to a track style more like road racing..i mean i only picked the car up for 600 bucks it has 143000 miles on it...and i just want a little more power like i said im not looking to make it a 9 sec car just want some balls

Welcome to NicoClub! Everyone here is nice and cool. I have a 92 B-13 and I have a set of K-Sports Coliovers and I can't believe how it hugs and drives around the corners. You really can make a B-13 into a beast with some upgrades. The next thing Im going to get are some roll bars and a pair of strut bars for F/R. Keep in touch there is a lot of useful info here on NicoClub for your Sentra.

That's your cars chassis type (I believe chassis type is what I'm looking for). It goes up: b13, b14, b15, b16. As the years go on and the chassis changes, so does the tag that goes with it. If I'm not mistaken, the b16 and b15 are very identical if not exactly the same in chassis, the only reason it carried on the b16 instead of b15 was because it was a new look. (I may be wrong)Short answer though, no that isn't your engine.

As far as upgrades, I would say to just stick with your basics: strut bars, sway bars, exhaust, cold air intake for starting out.

well Kinda. people dont usually refer to Golfs and Jettas by Chassis code but rather by generation. Even though i got a MK5 GTI its chassis code is PQ35. Supras are also referred to as MK# (Mark generation number) . With Nissan its Platform and designation. So B13 is platform B designation 13 IIRC.

Welcome to Nico!

B16s are not at all related to B15s. B16s aren't even B-chassis cars, actually. They're on the shared-with-Renault's-Megane C-chassis. The Versa is actually more related to the B15 than the current Sentra is.

Anyway, B13 is the chassis code as stated. Your engine is the GA16DE -1.6 liter, dual cam, fuel-injected. It's pretty weak. You could get an intake, exhaust, and header and get a little more pep. If you want more power, swap in an SR20DE/DET/VE/VET. Do some reading around the forum about this stuff. Check out the Table of Contents for a good start, then search for things you find interesting, then post up any remaining questions.

Suspension, I'd go with KYB AGX or Koni Yellows and Eibach Sportline springs. That's a good setup for that car. Not too aggressive, but definitely provides some good handling increases.

That's exactly why I said I think. Got it backwards.. see I remember reading something somewhere around here saying how its just called b16 cause its next but that doesn't follow suit like the rest of the sentras. Just had remembered it wrongly :P

oh. well it depends on the community and how you present yourself. some forums members dont tolerate people who ask questions without research. Nico is a much friendlier community although it does have its share of elitists and forum flamers. But that is every community.
