A couple things:

Where do you guys get your info on the 240's, what mags do you read, sites do you shop/research parts at?

There doesn't seem to be as big of an aftermarket as I expected. I'm specifically looking for projector style headlights for a 93.

Also the car I am looking at is a 93 fastback (KA24DE) with a T3 turbo. 140k on car and 60k on the engine. The price is $6900. DO you think this is a good deal? Car is in decent shape, paint looks good, leather is a little rough, etc.

Also what kind of 1/4 times do you guys get from your set-ups? What should a stock 93 with a KA24DE and good driver run?

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

What car are you comparing this too? THis car might be one of the most popular eco sports cars in Japan.

Do you mean JDM silvia headlights(here! ) or something to replace just the flip up part?

Most things you can search on this site and then see what sites people suggest. Otherwise use our sponsors:pface

15.9-16.2 Probaly a mid 16. Or you could search...

ka24de with a t3 turbo doesnt mean that much. Any other gear on the engine, like intercooler, injector size, etc. that would help a lot more in predicting what kind of work has gone into the car.

Also, if your willing to buy a s13 with some junk on it for 7K, just save up a little more and get a 97 or 98...

I thought these cars were faster. I currently own a 98 Neon R/T that, in stock form, would take a 240sx. R/T's can run 15.6 with a good driver. I'd like to buy a turbo'd KA24DE or one with the SR20DET swap. What would one run with a SR20 swap?

Could someone point me to some links for sites to buy/research parts?

oops  I thought thats what he said he wanted to do. I didn't see that he wanted to buy a car witha T3. You might want to pay 2000-10000 depending on how it was prepared.

180hp??? verse 155hp

I think sr20 is 15.6?? Try searching. Heck, why not do a swap after you get a car? I think Daunttless might have 1 or 2 motors extra coming in March 20th or so After Dark

I think it's a more legitimate way to compare different vehicles than say horsepower is. And most people have ran the 1/4 before so most people have this data. I assure you my reference to 1/4 times has nothing to do with The Fast and the Furious.

HIs comment to not caring has to do with drifting, I think...

At least you're off to a good start :)

I think I've heard of people running high 13's with sr20's. Is that right? Somebody who has one should probably answer that question.

As for that car price, I would say it's too high. You could get a junker 240 for $1k and spend $3-5k on a sr20det swap that would be pretty damn fast. The guy needs to knock at least $1k off the price to consider it unless it is a lot faster than an sr20 (any idea of hp figures on that thing?). I think it would be cheaper to get it done yourself through Daunttless or Heavy Throttle...
