After the extensive postings of info in my last thread, I picked up on the last step i left off at which was to fix my starter. Instead i just replaced it.. Now my engine sounds like its having a lil bit more success at turning over but still isn't cutting it. With a fully charged battery i can try to start my car twice before my battery goes dead, and when i try to start my car i just get a click click click noise then nothin else, im still at tdc and everything. Is it a possiability that my coil and/or distributor may be bad? help is appreciated, thanks..

so what your sayin is your car will turn over (engine is spinning) only a couple times before it goes dead and then your relay goes click click when you try? I just didnt get what you said 100%

sounds like your battery, have another car jump you (when its running) and see if you get the same results. This problem has nothing to do with your coil/distributor it is associated with a weak battery/alternator. once you get it to turn over and its not starting (should be able to turn over for at least 45sec) then you should look into your possible spark, compression, and fuel issues.

It seems more like my relay is just clicking period, i tried to jump it offa my moms car and still got the same results only diffrence with jumpin it was that i had a lil bit more time to try and start the car before its basically drained all power from the battery.

check all your connections to make sure they are making good contact and are tight. How long were you able to turn it over? only time your relay will click is if there is a bad connection at the starter, or you have a low battery/faulty alternator.

alternator could be shorted in some way, check or replace

maybe your engine is really tight, or siezed. Sometimes other components such as water pump, alternator, belt driven devices can make an engine seem really tight.

Well it seems that replacing my alternator is my next step to take me closer to driviability, before my car died my alt was also becoming a problem, this really sucks that everything is just goin to s*** all at once on me. After i replace my alt ill repost and keep yall updated on the miracle which is to get my car running..

Ok, I replaced my alternator and i now get a little bit more noise than i did before, but it's still just clicking. Instead of just one lil click, it now does a cccccclllllllliiiiiiiicccckkkkk and still dosn't turnover. I have tried two different batteries and still get the same results. Should i try to push start my car or would that just be a waste of time?

Try to push start it, worth a shot.
