The quality of tint and how well it's applied make a difference. I paid $350+ CDN to have my Altima tinted. It was a professional job and I had zero issues in nearly 5 years of ownership. The Rogue cost me $160 CDN for just 2 windows! Admittedly I could have gotten in cheaper, but the dealer had it done and it was convenient. I must say the quality is better than the tint on the Altima and the dealer is backing it up with a 5yr. warranty.
I would ask to see examples of the installer's work before doing anything. Look for bubbles, scratches, poor seams, uneven cut lines along the edges of the glass, etc. Also ensure they are using quality product. I don't know of any brand names, but do some research.
In the end I think you get what you pay for. Poorly installed tint and so-so product will peel in short order costing you more in the end as you will pay again to redo it.
