Congrats on the purchase. Always good to see another Rogue owner.

Do some research here on the forum regarding your stereo install. The factory Bose system can be tricky to upgrade. Read up on this post:

Was also thinking of re-tinting after finding out that the factory tinted windows, do not offer any UV protection. I've only got one quote so far for $160.00 for the whole car (front windows too) felt that was kinda steep though. How much did you pay.

Post some pics when you get a chance. Id love to see how it looks with a total tint job. Thanks.

All Rogues feature UV reducing solor glass. This on all models, not just the ones with tinted windows. While this does not completely reduce UV light entering the vehicle, it does block a good portion of it.

BTW, I tinted just the driver & passenger side windows to match the rears. Partly for looks, partly for privacy and reduced glare.

I have an s model - therefore no tint. All of my quotes are in the 250 range and that's for the whole car at the legal limit. So I will trade you your 160 any day!

The quality of tint and how well it's applied make a difference. I paid $350+ CDN to have my Altima tinted. It was a professional job and I had zero issues in nearly 5 years of ownership. The Rogue cost me $160 CDN for just 2 windows! Admittedly I could have gotten in cheaper, but the dealer had it done and it was convenient. I must say the quality is better than the tint on the Altima and the dealer is backing it up with a 5yr. warranty.

I would ask to see examples of the installer's work before doing anything. Look for bubbles, scratches, poor seams, uneven cut lines along the edges of the glass, etc. Also ensure they are using quality product. I don't know of any brand names, but do some research.

In the end I think you get what you pay for. Poorly installed tint and so-so product will peel in short order costing you more in the end as you will pay again to redo it.

Rogue design quality never ceasing to amaze! Didn't realize the glass itself was UV reducing. At least the info I got about factory tinted jobs wasn't completely erroneous--I was told the windows were dipped in a tint and the tint itself has no UV protection--the fact that the GLASS in the windows may have some protection, was just left out.

The place I got the $160 quote for the tint job, did actually come highly recommended--not sure what their warranty is though. Guess $160 isnt sounding so bad after all. Thanks for input!

Hey Guys,

I'll get some pix up pretty soon here (when i get off of work!) I paid $140 for all around tint 15%. I look good but now that that back looks much darker i might just have to get the front two windows tinted the same as the rear! I'm also planning on tinting the front windshield like 70%. Because all the heat comes through the big windshield!

Anyways pix comming soon!O and I just got into an accident! I was on a main road and this little old lady came out of a driveway and hit me!!! Ugh i was really pissed! I'll post some pix to show you guys....

Um.... I don't believe you can legally tint the front windshield.

Sorry to see that. Must be very depressing. Should repair like brand new. Good luck. Look the repair work over carefully.
