New Radiator on 99 1/2 QX4

Last week the radiator on my 99 1/2 QX4 with 57,000 had to be replaced. The plastic bottom plate had corroded. This is very low miles for this to happen. Just curious if anyone else had experinced this. I purchased the car with 44,000 miles on and not sure what maintence had been performed. As the car is over 4 years old, this was not covered under warranty.
