Hi, everyone. Just took delivery on an '09 Coupe this week. Blue 3.5, with CVT.

Initial impressions: There's a lot to like here. In 40 years of car ownership, argueably the prettiest shape to occupy my driveway. Love the cockpit and driving position. Good solid and quality feel to the car, not too porky in curb weight. The V6 sound track is too subdued, but that can be fixed.

Dislikes: Light, over-boosted steering feel, and so far I really regret getting the CVT. Too bad there were no 6MT models left to be had in my area.

WELCOME TO NICO!! Nice color choice that blue is really sweet looking. CVT isn't that bad, but driving an mt is a total different expirience. Post some pix and good luck modding!

you gotta order one thats what i did lol had to wait like 2 months though

and welcome now if u wanna better steering feel drop it and throw a rsb and itll help the handling alot

I'll see phenom's rsb and throw in some front (and rear) end links. A STB would prob help too, although I've yet to throw that mod onto the car.

You're right, I should have been more patient searching for the MT. Although with '09 models depleted, I'm not sure how much could have been done. In any case it was time to unload the VW GTi.

Welcome to the NICO Family. Yeah I regret not getting a MT now since I've done so much work to the engine with the Turbo and what not, but after having my 98 Jetta VR6 Turbo stick for 8 years in Los Angeles I was tired of MT and said NO MORE. Traffic in this city is a MOTHER. I say work on the suspension parts for the problem with over-boosted steering feel .
