because when i pull out the coil for that cylinder when the motor is running, the rpms dont drop...but all the other 3 cylinders drop rmps alot when i pull the coil out. but im not sure if it is for sure a dead cylinder because the fuel injector for that cylinder is put together with electrical tape. so from the previous owner, i dont know what he did. im either gonna have to rebuild the motor, or replace the wiring that goes onto the injector for that cylinder...

It's not your physical engine, man. You have some electrical issues that need sorting. Make sure the engine is grounded properly including wires within the engine's harness.

The injectors I do have, but as for injector connectors, I can give you what find because I really don't use my CA with the stock configuration anymore.

thanks for your help bro...the way the motor is running is making me worried so i wanna take care of it real soon. hahah, dude, i was going about 70 something on the freeway and i tried to pass a truck, and i was gonna hit 80mph, then my engine was kinda like bogging out or something. it was wierd and it freaked me out! i thought my engine was gonna blow! haha, but yea, if you know someone with a harness that would be great!

I seriously doubt that the engine is bad. The easy way to tell would be to go purchase a compresssion tester and follow the info in the FAQ section and see what the compression is like.

i have done a compression test like 2 weeks ago. but i was told i did it "wrong" because i didnt have the throttle open?? when i did the test, w/out the throttle open the results were in the low 100's.

You need to have the throttle open in order to get an accurate reading...go back and try it again.

Yup, doing it with the throttle closed will yeild incorrect results. There is a post in the stickies that lays it out quite plainly. You can also read in the FSM, as it covers it there as well. Also remember that it has to be on a HOT motor. It should be as close to NOT as possible.

Do you not have a copy of the FSM (Factory Service Manual) downloaded? If not, it's in the FAQ. Download it. NOW. You'll thank me for it later. It's got all kinds of great info in it. Much like the answer to the question you just asked...
