Hello
My name is David and I have just taken the plunge and bought a 1994 Q45a with 75,000 miles. Overall it is in very good shape bodily and the interior is mint. Having read all the stuff about the active suspension I am sure mine must have a few problems.
This is what I can tell so far: Suspension seems to lower at the rear after starting the engine and when the engine is shut off the rear seems to kick up an inch after about 10 seconds. The ride height adjustment seems to work ok. The fluid level is normal. I can push down with a bit of effort on all four corners when the car is running and. When the car is off I can't push down on the corners or at least I don't have the strength to. What seems a little strange is the ride. It seems to be very firm almost like a sporting car with stiff springs and shocks. If I go over major bumps it seems to rattle at the back. Compared to my friends 2003 Chrysler Concorde the Q45a is much stiffer in terms of ride. I would appreciate some views from the experts on this.
