--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just purchased a 2008 G37S 6MT - Platinum Metalic this weekend and absolutely love it! been looking for months to find one and ended up finding this in Houston, TX with 27,074 miles! Going to go through it and change the fluids regardless of the low miles. But looking for some advice on oil - always used Mobile 1 but this car is a different beast compaired to my last vehicle. Also looking for advice on manual transmission fluid - anyone use royal purple or is redline the best to use? Also suggestions on differential fluid as well? Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Congrats on the purchase. The manual transmission fluid I use Redline MT-85 (designed specifially for our cars). Do not use MT90 ALso I use redline oil as it is a true ester based oil. Its recommended to ahve the ester and the Nissan oil just plain oil with a little ester in it.

Welcome to NICO

Dave is spot-on as usual. Infiniti also sells what they call ester oil but it is simply a regular oil with an ester additive so I'd stay away from it and use something like MT-85 if that is what you are looking for. On my G coupe I simply drop it off with Infiniti and use their synthetic while the wife drops hers off at the local 10-minute oil place.
