Hi, new to the forum. Just bought a platinum graphite 2007 g35x sedan with nav, 60k miles. It doesn't have the backup camera or progressive cruise control but basically everything else. I love it. I did want to ask about the acceleration that should be expected- seems like it starts off the line either pretty slow then builds speed all of a sudden almost like it's turbo charged. Is this just how these cars drive or should I be trying to diagnose a problem? Thanks, I'm glad to be part of the community.

Is your TCS light flashing while you accelerate? Could be traction control kicking in. Have you tried turning it off?

+1 on the VDC light...the stability control system will cut the throttle drastically if it senses any wheel slippage. The button should be by your left knee.

Thanks. That worked perfectly. Feels like the response is much quicker but I see the value in the traction control for daily use, especially for a sedan.

Welcome to NICO

The only annoyance I have with my '07 G35s sedan is the gas pedal. It's touchy and wants to launch off the line all the time. I believe that was fixed in '08.

I don't believe so. I complained but I do not believe there was a resolution.

i drove an 07 loaner once and did notice the touchy throttle... i was spinning tires almost every red light with light rain on the ground... it made me nervous...

but i would think the throttle issue would be solved with software because our throttle is drive by wire... interesting... id asked the dealer directly about a software update. I've gotten my transmission software and nav/audio software updated for free at my dealer just by asking if there is new software avaliable.
