Definitely. If it's not cracked, the dealer should jump on this as a warranty replacement. They don't get paid as well as if it's out of your pocket, but they get paid.kmckis1029 wrote:One of my fog lights is getting internal condensation... smh... hopefully it can get replaced under warranty
HID runs much cooler that Halogen. Then you have to consider that older models had the fog lights in the headlight housing instead of the lower bumper so you didn't have to worry about breakage.Mudgen wrote:Matt, you clued me in to the issue of the heat from the fog halogens being a major culprit in cracked foglight lenses on the late model cars. Would his have that issue as well? That would be an argument for doing the fogs, whether HID or LED.
Depends on how they are aimed. Fogs are supposed to be low (or aimed low) and "wash the road" instead of being used as driving lights. I had HID fogs in my maxima and the only people who complained seemed to be truckers that I was passing (kinda funny as they love to shove their headlights into your rearview mirror). I never had anyone flash me in the years I had HID fogs..asoomal wrote:HID's or LED's do not belong in fogs...at all.
