Sorry about the accident, but now you're good hands Welcome to NICO!

I personally like the look of the 19's on the 05-06 coupe. I think you mean the JWT popcharger with the Z-tube...a very good upgrade. You might also want to think about the Spacer from Motordyne eng...and a cat-back exhaust.

Well, stillen calls it a HI-Flow intake kit, what called my attention is the venturi that speeds air intake. Pls. comment

Stillen calls it High-FLOW intake it has an aluminum ring in a venturi shape rushing air into the plenum which is what called my attention, any comment on this?[

just out of curiosity, where along the intake is the venturi ring located? if its located at the filter/tube, does it really make a difference in the speed of the airflow? because if it is, airflow speed should return to what it would be without the ring as it goes through the tube. am i correct about this?

I am not an expert in phisics but, it seems that the plenum fills with air in proportion to the forward movement speed of the vehicle in question. If a venturi is added to the air inake the air speed coming into it will increase as it is being fed into the plenum at a faster speed to whatever speed the vehicle is mooving forward, it makes sence to me, what is your opinion?WHIZZ do you care to comment?

Sorry, i've been pretty busy these past couple days. Yeah, I installed on Wednesday. I'm very pleased with the outcome. Nice throaty sound and looks stock. I have a pic on my cardomain site. I've noticed a nice boost at WOT. It sounds great and the install wasnt bad. Hardest part was getting the new air box to line up with the MAF and attach to the venturi ring with the filter attached. I'm very pleased and would highly reccomend.

haha i'm not a physics major either, just did a little research. based on a little wikipedia about the venturi effect, a gas will speed up when there is a restriction in the flow so that it can get through that restriction (the venturi ring). but once it gets through, it will return to the speed it was at (assuming the piping is the same diameter downstream and upstream). that was my understanding. so it would all make sense if the ring was located near the end of the tube at the throttle body, plenum, whatever. or is the tube diameter the same as the diameter of the opening in the ring? anybody really know how this works? it would be awesome because it could mean spending a useless $50 on stillen than a JWT all because it has a useless scientific thing to market the product as better than others.

Hi Chet, the venturi in the High-Flow intake you just installed from stillen, where exactly is the venturi ring installed, questions have arroused concerning it's efficiency and if it is really worthwhile paying the extra$$$ for stillen vs. JTW just for that V ring. Pls. bring some light into this matter.

The ring sits inside the filter and the MAF screws directly into it with the housing as a spacer. It has a whispy sound to it, I think from the ring. It seems to work pretty well. Can't really compare it since I've never used the JWT. In my opinion, it is worth the extra $50, the air box that it comes with makes it very sleek and it seems to keep engine heat away from the intake.
