I'm new to this site and to the Nissan Cube. I'm a Honda guy and that is really all I have ever worked on. So now I got this!
It is a funny looking car, but I think with a few touches it will look good. Here are some pics of stuff I am getting and what not.

This is the one I got

This is what Merv (a friend of mine) did for me, some what of how it may look. White wheels for sure!

Wheels I don't know yet.

I'll make up my mind closer to buying.
Now what color lugs? Hummmmmmmmmmmm

I did order my Megan springs but I really think there not going to be low enough. I can't for the life of be figure out if I want 17" or 16" with a 205/45. Some of the Cubs I have seen with the Megan springs seem to have a little to much wheel gap. Maybe I can cut a coil or 2.

I'll have more pics as I do more.

Chris.

I like to have a plan, so here I am. I did a full list of the things I want and the order I want to get the.

I seen your build....I really like it! But your car is where I seen the Megan springs were not going to be low enough. I just don't have the money for Ksports right now. So I am guessing also from the look of your Cube, 17 should be just fine. Oh, thanks for letting someone use your car so we can have a carbon hood. I am a big fan of carbon fiber! :bigthumb:

Ok, opinions needed.

This is the color

thank you yeah i have to stay on megans for a while first reason i am sponsored by megan and tokico so i gotta keep them on + tokico & megan crew are really really cool , second reason is since i have all the ultra racing stuff under the cube i cant go lower or i will be scrapping all the under braces everywhere so yeah

i like the option number 3 on the pics you posted, good combination

The Megans are, by far, the lowest of all the springs available for the Cube. Trust me on this one, I lowered one of the first Cubes in the US.

You want to go lower, you're doing coilovers or bags.

I have the Stillen intake and exhaust as well.

i think the first one actually greg^^^
yeah i think megans are the lowest for the cube, i know a member did cut a coil on his front springs an it looked a lot better after works so i been tempted to do that, rear springs you cant cut coils

yeah my intake and exhaust set up is different now but i had stillen set up previously intake/exhaust and is a very good combination

Mine's pretty harsh - I don't think I'd cut a coil on the front. I went with a smaller wheel / tire to get "moar low". :)

Yeah I posted about that in your thread. What tire on the 16's are you useing? Like what size? The back looks good!

Thanks for the welcome guys. I did a lot in the Honda world, even started my own comp, CBURKE.Industries. Did pretty well for a while!

So cutting the front and not he back, won't that make the front sit lower than the back?

225/45/16 on 16x8 wheels (no clue on the offset, I believe they're in the 28-32 range).

No, don't cut the fronts. Trust me on this, the Megans lower it quite a bit. If you lop off a coil, you're going to need to wear a mouthguard. It's a harsh ride.

It may not look "slammed", but I scrape the muffler and mudguards if I come into the driveway at the wrong angle.

WOW 225?!? I was only going to do a 205/50/16 with a 10mm spacer in the back. I'll have to look at your pics again. You don't hit the inside in a turn?

Yeah your back looks great but there is just to much gap in the front (for me). With the 225, how is the front? Does it stick out the past the fender.

I have to get this right. This is my DD and I drive about 80 miles a day

Nothing rubs.

205/50 tires and cut Megans? You'd better get a fluffy pillow to sit on. 80 miles is a long way in a car with harsh suspension.

Remember, the Cube is a CHEAP car. That means minimal sound deadening and EVERYTHING rattles. :)

I will say my Tanabe coils were pretty comfortable at almost full low. Even the mechanic who did my alignment said it was the nicest set of coilovers he has rode. However if you want moar low like I did, then your ride will not be comfortable at all... (I took out the front helper spring and the lower lock rings on front and back and on full low) As long as you like the slammed look, I'd go with coils. Tanabe or ksports is up to you, I have not ridden in a cube with ksports.

BTW. welcome to the forum!
I like option 3 if you got the silver wheels, If you get the white wheels I would do the blue lugs.

@Damian: My under bracing catches on every speed bump and my exhaust catches on my driveway every now and then. I still wish I was lower!

I must be the only person who thinks the black lugs look the best.... :(

The blue is a completely different color blue and kinda clashes IMO, and I've never really been a heat treated finish fan. Rainbow is cool, I just wouldn't do it on my car.

I would think a 225 45 would be even worse. My offset is 40 and the wheel is a 7" so I think a 225 will look a little funny. Maybe a 215/45. I am still not sure on the cut spring idea but we will see. It is in fact my DD. I'll have more pics up soon as I start getting more stuff in the mail.

Any idea on front tow hooks? I can't seem to find any for this car.

You bought Honda wheels. ;)

7" with 40 offset means they're going to be pretty sunken.

With some 25mm spacer, it should be good and correct you sunken issue.

Yea, color matched lugs would be even better. :)

Not sure what state you live in and if your cube has already been marked, but they do make a no hole front plate bracket.

Otherwise a front two hook would look silly IMO because of the small plastic panel and the styrofoam behind it.

I didn't buy them yet. I am just looking for a white wheel.

I live in FL so a front plat is not needed.

Is a 25mm spacer even safe?

NOPE! I think they're the best looking ones with that car and wheel color set up. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder though. :bigthumb:

Not bad at all, love the car so far!

Ok, after some looking through the inter-web I now know what I will be going with.....well for now anyway lol.

16x7 +25 in the front with 16x8 0 in the back

Well doing some more reading I see I can't do the +0 off set. I don't want to run a -3 camber. Maybe I can get the 16x7 +25 and just add a spacer to the back?

Don't stagger the wheels on a FWD car. Please. :)

Aside from having a tough time getting tires in the same diameter, you want to be able to rotate them.

16x7 +25 all the way around will be nice on your Cube.

Get the wheels, and I'll show ya how to make sure you get the most tire w/o hurting your fenders (and staying "flush").

Yeah but I need to find a 16x7 +25.....That I can afford. I think I will just go with the Konigs I picked before. Do I have this right, the Cube is 4x114.3?

Thanks for all the help guys....I can't wait to get started on this thing. 1100 miles today!

Yum. That is all. I love meshies, and think they look even better on eccentric cars like this. :dblthumb:
