16x8 +20 XXR 521's All black! with a 205/40
Nice, but a tire that's 1.5" in diameter smaller will throw off your speedo by about 8%. Not sure if it'll affect TCS and ABS tho.

I'll roll he front a little if needed. What tire do you think is best? 205/45?

The standard size on the SL is 195/55r16. With that size you ask, you'll get a difference by 4.8% on the speedometer, it's gonna read too fast. Not a good choice.

You can get 205/50r16. only a difference of 1.5%.
205/55r16 1.8% will read faster
215/50r16 0.1% will read slower

At the moment you don't get more than 3% of difference, it's the best, but getting a 0% of difference is what you must aim for.

But to call a sure shot, go with the 195/55r16.

Heres what I am thinking. A 195/50 will have to much stretch, I think. Also, I think a 50 would be to tall for the +20 offset and I would need to roll the front and back so I don't hit. I guess a 215 would be ok but again I think I would be rolling fenders. Man I never thought this would be such a pain......On a Honda, you just put some wheels on and call it a day!
I guess I need to get the wheels first and then see what tires will work best.

I also have a 6 speed, not sure if I said that or not.

Why not just look at all the other Cubes here and copy what's already been proven to work?

There's no need to roll the front fenders. If you're so low that the tires come close to the fender lip, it won't be drivable.

You can't roll the back fenders on a Cube. There's no lip.

Also, you're forgetting that the middle number (aspect ratio) means nothing without the first number (section width), and vice-versa.

There's only a couple options of 16" tire sizes that maintain the original diameter. It's not hard.

Mine is about 2.5" lower than stock on all four corners, and it's a pretty harsh ride... Even with a lot more sidewall than you're planning.

p.s. No 195's - Skinny tires are for bicycles. :)
