lol, i painted it brotha! just pop out the trim pieces, wash them off to get rid of any "armour all" crap, and paint them your desired color. i chose the silver cause i liked the aluminum look but didnt want to pay alot of money for a stick-on dash kit. i used wheel paint since its supposed to protect against chipping. didnt clear coat, but you could if you wanted.

naw dude, real easy. just be patient. i bought a haynes manual which was helpful about telling me where the clips were and which way to pry so i didnt break them. i would recommend that to you, plus it has lots of other info for future reference as well. also, i havent personally seen any 4th gens with the smoked tails but i have seen pics of them on here from time to time. if you make a thread about them im sure someone will post up their pics for you!

dude, jeremiah...ive already forgotten what they looked like. can you believe i used to drive a '96? its been too long ago, plus i was younger and dumber then, lol. can you hit me up with a dash pic??

i remember that on both my dash painting jobs, the trim just fits over the temp. controls. so, once you pop out the trim pieces you should be able to unscrew them from the controls. we need to replace your headunit while we're in there as well. should be the same concept - screws from the side, right?

jeremiah, here's a pic of what we could do for your car. we could do yours just like this, or we could paint the trim from around the radio and down (which i think would look better in this case). think about it...plenty of time to decide.

those are smoked one piece cefiros. you can take yours apart and paint them yourself, there's plenty of info on that around here. (i just don't know where and didn't search it for you, sorry.) the hottest, not the smartest, lights out right now are the R34 headlights shown here. beware of the horrible beam pattern!

click the pic for the link to ebay

mine are aftermarket one-piece cefiro's brotha! however, you CAN buy a set like these or the stock oem style with the black housing on ebay. if your after the stock style you could just remove the housing and paint them yourself for about $10-15 plus a couple hours. its really not very hard at all, i did that to my '96 maxima's headlights. but again, be patient/careful. you dont want to warp the housing (if yours are plastic) or get any of that glue on the lense covers!! here's a link.

plus, i you DO want a set like mine...your car will have to be modded to fit. you'll have to cut off a bracket from the corner lenses to get the to sit properly. but...id definately recommend these instead of the cifero's. they are HOTT, plus no cutting required!

Maximum pic size is 600x200 regardless. Text is text, not text on a picture. From a picture standpoint you are 135p higher than allowed

When you take off that temp gauge unit. The facr plate has clips on it and you can pop the plate off and paint it.

BTW, Nice trim paint job nismo, came out good. I plan on doing that to my dash very soon, like near spring...

he's refering to the fan markings on the trim. there's like a "1, 2, 3, and 4" setting already written on the trim, so if we remove everything and paint then those markings will be covered up. so, we'll probably have to do something like this....

but, IMO - i think we should not do the clock's trim if we dont do the temp. trim. i think it looks funny. maybe we should just paint the radio trim down to the shifter trim. i think that would come out lookin' a bit cleaner. (just let me know jeremiah!)
