New guy, saying hello had a quick question..

First of all, Hi there! I am new to this forum and a new V owner as well, got her about 3 weeks ago. She is a Blue Onyx Sedan S currently I have not done anything to her, but I've been reading the forums and checking out the pics. I am NOT a "car guy" by any means, I mean sure...I like to look at them and I know how to change the oil and rotate the tires etc...but doing some of the mods that you guys have done...well...I am jealous!

So...I was looking at all your pics etc and I've decided that I want to invest in some new shoes for my girl. But I had some questions about sizes. I am likely not going to lower my car any and since this is my daily use car I don't want any rubbing. From what I am reading probably 18's would be the largest I would go.

I guess basically I am asking (since I really, honestly know nothing) what size would work the best as well as what width and offset? I have to say I really like this guys wheels...but 20's I think are too big..

Hassell's Tiida is a bit extreme... for a DD, may I suggest 17" with 250/50/17 tires?

Will fill the wheel-well ... well and will not rub. Plus the extra tire will protect your wheels against curbs and other accidental bumps. Just my 2 cents...

I think you mean 205 there, not 250, Kimber...

And I have 215/45/17's on mine, and there's only a little rubber sticking out from the side of my 17x7" wheels. There's less buffer using a 205.
