For those not already aware, the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) has been using different MPG ratings/estimates starting on all 2008-model year vehicles. Folks talk about MPGs on various SUVs, but don’t actually compare it accurately (apples to oranges). The below website is an EPA comparison calculator for comparing Old & New MPG estimates.

For example, if one was to compare another SUV to the Rogue (let’s say the 2007 RAV4 since it seems to be a well talked about SUV in this forum), according to the comparison chart, 2008 MPG would be 20/25 vs 23/27 for 2007. You can select any vehicle (back to 1985) and compare what the new estimates would be for that same vehicle if it were rated in 2008. Pretty handy tool to get an “apple-to-apple” comparison.
Check out the site and compare your other vehicle(s) to the Rogue...pretty impressive!!!
