Hey Greg, what's the resonator you use (I know it's magnaflow, any model #?). Any direct link to the resonator as well? I'm sorta in a rush to get one, how fast will it be shipped to Canada?

The ones we use are a little different, I don't think they're in the product catalog (we get some stuff that's 'jobber only')... They're 14", 18" or 22".

KRUZNBY: Yes, it bolts to the 2nd cat.

Greg, i'd really like a 3", but im afraid my bumper will swallow it lol, do you think maybe yall could extend it, say, a few inches, in the build? i want it be somewhat noticeable in appearance too

Hey I have a oem rear lip, not a big one like his ^^^ no offense . Would the dual tip clear it? Also the 3 inch dual tip muffler is different than the smaller diameter ones right? I want a 3 inch catback with the "bigger" dual tips, correct?

Thanks

Hi guys.

Unfortunately, since we build in a jig, there's not much chance of "extending" the rear section.

HOWEVER, keep in mind that even if we did, the angle might not be accurate.

I extended mine 7" (because of my body kit), but it's something you really want to have done professionally (or do it yourself if you're handy with a welder).

nwmrkt - Correct. 3" system has bigger dual tips.

is there a big difference between the different size resonators? What difference can i hear between them? Does it really matter, as long as i have at least a resonator? Also the mufflers you are using are they the street series ones?

Thanks

new exhaust options coming in the near future? i would really like to purchase a new catback system, something sleek, 3" for turbo application. yet keeping the sound near as stock as possible. nismo catback for an s13 does the job fantastically. im sure brm could come up with something. i noticed someone posted a picture of the nismo exhaust on the ztune gtr. thats exactly what i had in mind.

any insight on something new would be great. thanks.

i would really be interested in something like this. no bumper burning on a 240sx coupe. that owns me right now...

Haha, I need to trim down this thread so you guys can find this info!

Not much difference between the resonators, the longer they are, the deeper the tone.

The mufflers we use are not listed in the Magnaflow catalog as they have a different line of products for shops and custom manufacturers from the stuff in their retail books.

Madcow - No need for a "new" design, our 3" system with a long resonator will keep that boosted motor "hushed up" until you pound the throttle.

Okay I am going to stay with my stock KA. I asked for a quote before for a 3.0" ss with 22" resonator and dual tips... but for now i really need an exhaust replacment and I have different plans instead of kat. I am curious if you could give me a quote on the following:

2.25" stainless steel with 22" resonator and the big dual tips on the muffler

and

2.5" stainless steel with 22" resonator and big dual tips on the muffler.

Shipped again same, L6H2B6 Oakville, Ontario.

That would be great...

I agree you should have a cost break down for each setup, that would be really helpful. Kind of hard to go through the whole setup. Would be really cool if you had a script that would calculate shipping for us with the chosen setups of choice

Check out the very first post....it lists ALL pricing info. Both 2.25" and 2.5" systems cost the same, so you are looking at $530 each one + shipping costs.

I don't know if it will work but you can try calculating the shipping yourself with UPS website, using AZ zipcode to your zipcode (you can look those up on UPS as well) using a shipping weight of around 35 pounds (I'd say the box size I got is 50" x 8" x 15")

i have a 1998 240sx SE and i was wondering if i can get a 2.5inch stainless dual tip made. i would like to go catless so is it possible to have a 22inch resonator where the cat would be at with all the bung holes made for the sensors?

Hi Guys!

I don't mind helping, but the pricing info is very detailed ni the first post... We haven't changed a thing. There's also no need to "calculate" shipping. It's $45 anywhere in the 48 states.

Not likely - The system would be fine, but you can't put O2 bungs ni a resonator. In fact, unless the O2 bungs are going to be in a catalytic converter, they're not going to read accurately (due to temperature) and will throw a Check Engine light.

Better off to run a high-flow cat, OR eliminate your CEL (but keep in mind one O2 sensor reports to the ECU). I'd keep the cat.

Here's a couple more fitment pics. I still have to get a new rubber hanger to level the muffler a little more.

Ignore the paint, I have to sand it down and buff it....

I'll try and get a sound clip or something this weekend.

Is it just me or do they all look kind of on angle meaning not level, not only yours but a few others. I guess all of those like that have those bad rubber hangers?
