You can get a 22" resonator, it just won't be SS.

We can add it for a small additional charge.

Hey Greg, I might shoot you an email about this in a little while, but I'd figure that I'd throw the question up on here...

Is the stainless steel exhaust painted? or the hangers painted? I believe mine seemed to either be painted to had a coating that rubbed off (I really only noticed it on the hangers) but since the hangers had the same coloration as the rest of the exhaust it make me think that the whole thing has some sort of coating... And to anyone considering this exhaust system, it is well worth the cost! I love this thing even though I need to replace my old worn out hangers so that it doesn't sit so low. But great quality and sound from this system!

The guys shoot some rustproof paint on the hangar and the welds, since those parts are not stainless.

Honestly, I've never seen a system rust at the hangars, but the guys are kinda meticulous about it, so I just let them do their thnig.

Greg,

I am installing a CA18DET from boostboy, and am now looking for addons. This looks to be THE exhaust to have. Do you guys make ss from down pipe back. I would need 2 bungs welded (1 for O2 sensor and second for data logging) Resonator and Cat. Twin tips (looks hot on S13). I saw prices at beginning of thread but not sure if it has increased. Shipping to 65536?Thanks, trying to get vert up and on road.

Greg was very helpful in picking out which exhaust suited my needs and answered all my questions. Wonderful customer service. Thanks Greg. I will post when the exhaust arrives, installed and my experience with it.

dooooddd sweet i cant wait, and i also wanna give props to there customer support, i placed my order, and paid and within mins he emailed me back with conformation. i than relized i wanted to go with the 3" instead of the 2.5"(which i had origonaly order) so i emailed back and asked for them to edit my order and they did with no problems what so ever. great people smooth transactions.

i have another question, is it a good idea to install this exhaust now (stock motor) , and when i get the swap done, reinstall this same exhaust system ? or should i just wait to install it until i get the sr swap'ed ( 3-4 mo. later : / ) waiting for my inspection sticker to run out so i gotta fresh one for the sr : ) Thnx 4 any advice

i went with a 18" res, cat, and the 3" aluminized, still running the ka with headers and intake and it sounds sweet. at high rpms it looses the deep tone and lets out a real aggressive roar sounds really good. ill have to make a vid asap

Well i'v been driving around w/ my BRM (w/o resonator) for a few days now... and damn!

Pretty nice, clean, exhaust. It infact does hang somewhat low, but i have yet to scrap it on anything. Good stuff man.

To answer the questions about installing a 3" exhaust system prior to turbocharging your car: go for it, I installed the 3" system on my basically stock motor and did not encounter any loss in power, in fact I probably still gained some power - I know that some people have done some dyno testing to prove that a 3" system does not reduce power compared to a 2.5" system on a stock or NA KA engine, but I'm not sure of the accuracy or location of those posts... but my experience is a good one!

i went the low budget route, 2.5 aluminized w/ no resonator. i ordered late on a thursday and got it the following wednesday. install was pretty smooth, had to notch the bumper support to clear the tip but otherwise no problems. it's definately loud, but not unbearable. it has a nice sweet spot at about 80 or so where with the a/c and stereo on you barely notice it. lots of nice burbly sounds on coast down, revs much freer after 4000 and throttle response is improved significantly, rev matching shifts is way easier. great deal for the money and you're supporting a buisness that supports you. thanks greg!
