can anyone post the sound of dual tips to see how they sound??

preferable at idle, and while revving. Simply want to compare how different from stock sound? Single tip sound simply wasn't my cup of tea, that magnaflow muffler was too big.

Will the 2.5" exhaust (w/ high-flow cat) bolt up to a 3" aftermarket DP coming off of a SR?

on the website, it says the systems are $320 + $45 for shipping for a 2.5" Aluminized with the 4" tip, now, how would i go about adding a resonator? im still looking at my funds this summer to see how much i'll make and what i need to take care of mechanical wise on my car before i get the nicer things.

Hey greg, just wondering... will your exhaust work with SR as well? Now too sure if KA and SR share the same cat location...

Also, what kind of different resonator and muffler option do you have and price for each?

snvin - Yes.

Seth - Resonator is $70, we weld it in during construction.

taesoo - Yes, it will work with your SR. Rest of the info you want is in the first post of the thread.

how much sound difference are we talking between the 3 sizes of resonators? i have a header on a KA...so, its already pretty low sounding and deep enough to drown out most soft talking. personally, i dont care about how loud it is....i dont like talking to people in my car anyways, but if i want a good loud deep growl with low sound at highway cruising, would the 22" be the best, or should i go with the 16". i have some time before i can get it, so i'll keep watching the vids of other cars till i can decide.

Im curious, has any had a dyno run with their BRM catbacks on?

And also, what kind of gains and losses am I looking at from going from a completely stock exhaust system to a Hotshot header, Hi-Flow cat, and 2.5" BRM catback? All I've done so far is my air intake. Thank you for any help given. I did do a search about the gains specifically, but couldn't find it after a bit of searching.

I think it's been asked a couple of times, but never really answered. Anybody out there with a turbo engine, be it SR, KA, CA, RB, or whatever... using a BRM exhaust (preferably 3")? Anybody have video clips of the 3" BRM in action? I've noticed most if not all the clips posted are of the 2.25"/2.5" variety on an N/A KA...

How would you guys rate the 3" system w/ resonator in terms of noise installed on a N/A KA?

I got the 3" since there is an RB in my future(or a VK, I'm having trouble deciding). There is a little popping on downshifts, but the rest of the time it is great. Not too loud for sitting next to someone at a light, no 'buzzing' as you pass people on the highway. Just a nice throaty rumble.

Thanks for the quick reply! My main concern is any resonance or humming (3" on N/A KA) while cruising the highways going 75-80mph.

Would you say it would be tolerable for trips in excess of 1 hour or more?

I'll probably opt for a highflow cat whenever I decide to order one... think that would make things too noisy?

Anybody else with experience/opinions please feel free to chime in.

Mine has the highflow cat as well, couldn't tell you the difference without it though, might be softer.

If you plan on having heart to heart discussions on these cross country trips, forget it.

Now I will say this, there is a 1-200 RPM range right around 2300 that shakes the change in my center console. That would more than likely change per car, just to let you know.

Do you have plans for an engine swap/serious NA buildup in the future? If you don't, I would recommend going with a smaller pipe.

Shakes the change in your car? Holy crap Going KA-T in the far distant future, but the no-name exhaust I've got right now makes my ears bleed, and I'm hoping that the BRM (want 3" now so I don't have to buy again later...) will be a massive improvement.

Putting things into perspective, I have to drown out the exhaust by pumping the volume on the radio. Even then, the exhaust still breaks through the sub's frequencies... I'd turn it up higher but the exhaust is already loud enough as it is.

It's not too bad around the streets, but on the freeway, it becomes a nuisance, and I'm seriously worried about my hearing now.

Curious, do you drive a Hatch? I'm sure we're more susceptible to resonance because of the open cabin.

I actually have a 1995, so no hatch here.

I might have worded that incorrectly with the change rattle, it is just like a couple of coins decided to jump around a little, nothing major, and it only lasts a second at most.

Compared to the way you describe yours, mine is silent on the highway There is a low rumble, and since I drove a lifted jeep for years I am used to the hum of mud tires, so it doesn't really bother me.

I guess it's settled that BRM is the way to go for N/A, but I'd still love to hear it on someone's turbo engine...

Not trying to outshine BRM or anything, but the recent video Dekand posted was amazing. I understand most of that is from the engine (RB25), which is why I must hear BRM on a turbo'd car.
