I'd highly recommend the resonator unless you like sounding like a tandem of B-52's over Tokyo. :)

I'll throw in a discount if it makes a difference. If you;re concerned enough about legality to install a catalytic converter, I'd think you'd want it to be quiet. :)

The exhaust looks really good almost stock like. The main problem with cheap aftermarket exhaust is that it hangs too low especially on s14's. I regret buying my knock off exhaust everyday. When I upgrade I will go with this setup.

Got my exhaust! :D looks great, needs a sand and polish for the piping though. Will post a review/pics/sound clip in a week or two after I paint my car and install it. This was the motivation "buy" to paint my car. Has needed a paint job for 2+ years now. lol

Hey, is the hardware that came with the exhaust stainless also? if not I will have to make a trip to homedepot to pick some up :)

Hardware is zinc plated.

I use anti-seize on all my hardware, so there's no need for SS fasteners. But, I'd understand 100% if you wanted to use SS. :)

Hey, I was looking through my stuff today and noticed I don't have a lot of pictures of our customers' cars!

If you guys own a BRM system, and you have time, shoot me some pics and send them over - I'll load them up on our new site!

I've wanted to get a BRM exhaust before I even bought my S13!
Now that it's almost time that I upgrade my stock exhaust to one of these, I have a question about fitting.

I plan on getting some DC Sport 4-2-1 headers at the same time as the BRM exhaust, but I'm not exactly sure how everything will fit. From the pictures of the headers, it looks like I'd have some fitting issues because of the length of the headers if I get a full 2.5 inch exhaust with a catbak and 22 inch resonator.

Any info or advice about what I could or should do, would be much appreciated. Thanks!

No fitment issues.

The header is designed to terminate in exactly the same location as the stock downpipe. If it works with a stock exhaust, it'll work with the BRM system.

Let us know when you're ready to rock! :)

I'd only throw on a set of header if you plan on building a N/A monster or supercharging it in the future.

I doesn't really increase the performance, a little bit in the mid and top and a slight loss in the low end.

It made the BRM sound much different, kinda lost its smooth deep tone. I plan on getting another resonator welded in before the main resonator, Vibrant Ultra Quiet, a short wide oval res that apparently makes quite the difference.

With the stock manifold, it is one of the best sounding exhausts out there for the S chassis. ;)

So I wanted to order a 2.5" S14 aluminized steel exhaust with a 22" resonator and dual tip with a high flow cat, but I couldn't find a place to add the cat on the new BRM website. Also, any kind of discount if this is the second BRM exhaust I've ordered from you. :)

So, I was pretty deadset on Cobra downpipe and BRM cat/exhaust combo from you fine gentleman for this summer's mods but I'm a bit afraid of the 3" with 14' resonator version(I'm getting your exhaust because the 2 tip is sure to attract less attention from the local police than my 5" inch "lol I dare you to buy that ebay exhaust" tip currently garners.) So I was wondering if anyone had any vids/testimony of the noise level of that setup, or if you guys might be bringing back the 22" resonated 3" setup some time. Or if you had something really trick like a 3" inlet to 2.5" outlet cat so i could run the cobra pipe and the 2.5" with 22" resonator setup. I do have a gtx30/drift NOS build up planned in the future so the 3" would be more ideal for my future plans.
