Then don't be. And it's spelled DOUCHE.

Nope. Prepare to get schooled.

First off, that's not stainless steel. They don't even OFFER that system in SS. It's aluminized. If you'd READ, instead of thinking you're super-detective, you'd see that my aluminized system is $475 shipped WITH a resonator AND dual tips.

Second, you didn't pay $350 shipped for a stainless system. Nor did you get a resonator for that price.

Third, you didn't get your choice of diameter. That price only applies to 2.5".

Fourth, they charge $80 for a 18" resonator, and don't even offer a 22" resonator. I offer 14", 18" and 22" for $70.

Go back to their site and see for yourself - It shows the 2.5" aluminized system, WITHOUT a resonator (it's optional), for $345 shipped. Add a resonator ($80) and it's $425 shipped.

Our price is $475 shipped. That's $50 more. What happened to that $100 figure? :slap:

So, either you're lying, or you suck at math.

I think the members here understand that BRM is here to help support their favorite forums.

But, if it will keep you from curling up in the fetal position and sucking your thumb, I'll match that price on that system.

Feel better?

Probably not, since you didn't get a resonator, AND you got an inferior system, welded up by a bunch of autoshop class kids.

When you have enough hair on your a$$ to "scold" me, son, step right up...but you'd better be RIGHT. :nono:

Your post was deleted because you didn't do your homework, and it was inaccurate. Looks like you're 2-for-2 now. :tisk:

Feel free to apologize publicly in this thread, or you can PM me an apology.

A little more info on that wanna-be "competitor". They don't offer full stainless OR a warranty. They are buying tubing kits from my supplier, half-assing the assembly, and undercutting prices. Our supplier has been advised and is cutting off supply to them, since they are actually undercutting Magnaflow as well.

Piece of cake - How's $295 shipped?

Add $135 for a high-flow cat (bolt-in, with flanges and gaskets and hardware).

Hi AZhitman,

I'm located In Santa Monica California.

I would like to rework the entirety of my cars exhaust system from the headers to the CAT to the Exhaust (should be a BRM dual tip)

My car is a 1993 240sx Fastback. Everything is stock. Price is no concern, but price will become a secondary metric after performance and overall value (which I believe BRM exhaust already wins). What is your advice (if any) regarding the best header and CAT to go along with your Exhaust system... and what about sizing?

BRM SS Dual tip wanted.

Provided answers and this business partner sends me the 4k that I am owed, purchase could be immediate.

THANKS.

Piece of cake, Sweeper - And I'll even let you keep most of your money. :)

Not many good KA headers on the market. If you can find a used Hotshot, buy it. Good fitment and great design. We can supply you with a flanged, bolt-in, high-flow catalytic converter that matches the rest of your system perfectly.

The system you want is $575 shipped, and the catalytic converter adds $135.

I'll build you that system for $685 shipped.

Welcome to the forums. :)

What about the OBX header? DC? anything better? Should I use header wraps? apparently HotShot is not making headers anymore and it may be hard to get one on the used market.

What about exhaust sizing?

2.25, 2.5, or 3.0"?

I don't plan on going turbo (right now) and I don't think I will unless I do a whole engine rebuild (in which case the cost of changing to 3.0" piping is a insignificant). So I want max power/ fluid power band for "right now" with zero concern for "future" changes.

I am looking for your recommendation regarding sizing. Power is highest importance, sound is the least concern (but if 1 extra horsepower is going to make a large difference in sound output, then I would prefer to have reduced sound output)

By the way I've ghosted around these forums for years, since 2000 when I first got my 240. The 240sx is the greatest sub compact sports car ever made in my opinion.

Not familiar with the OBX. DC stuff is nice, but I haven't installed one.

For an N/A 240sx I always recommend a 2.5" system. Big enough to "grow into" (I have 2.5" on a 400-hp KA) and small enough to keep ground clearance and save weight.

Sound is more dependent on the resonator, and fortunately you have your choice. I'd go with the 18", nice sound and fits nicely under the chassis.

Header WILL make your system appreciably louder. Header wrap is useless on these cars. Adding a header will also shift your powerband up in the RPM range a bit.

hey, maybe a stupid question, I tried doing a search but nothing came up. Do you guys sell the CARB/Cali legal cats with your system? Plan on getting your exhaust when I get to that stage of my build (still gonna be a few months, low on funds after repairs and minor upgrades), and just wanted to know if I'd have to get that somewhere else. Thanks.

Looks like you'll be better off buying one of the Magnaflow CARB cats IN California. Since we're not in CA, we can't buy them.

I just looked up the price on magnaflow and some other dealers through google. $533 and $193. Big price difference  .

I got this exhaust a few years back when they were first offered. Now I need to change the gaskets around the hi flow cat that I also got.
Will regular gaskets from Pepboys work?

Ours is about as close to "stock" as you'll find. And 3" is overkill for NA, you are correct. :yesnod
