Hello. My dad has a 1988 300ZX NA. The brake fluid has been leaking for about 2 years and it has not gotten to the point where it's a constant leak. The leak looks like it is coming from the rear of the master cylinder against the brake booster. I am thinking a new master cylinder will cure this problem but I wanted to make sure. Is there a gasket for the master cylinder and the brake booster? We want to make sure we have everything before we begin.

Thanks,Mooney

yup, sounds liek the master cylinder blew out an internal seal, the new one just bolts in, but you'll have to cleed the master and all the lines to be sure you got all the air out fo the system, and some of the z31 rear brakes can be tricky to bleed

Thanks evildky. You never fail to reply to my help posts. We just picked one up from autozone and are about to start working on it.
